If you're in Canada and you want to start investing in crypto, it makes sense to use a Canadian crypto trading platform over popular American exchanges like Coinbase.

What do you think, have you tried Newton or do you prefer another exchange?
I think one of the challenges of Newton is to be able to change network. For example, I want to withdraw USDT from Newton to another wallet using another network like BSC or Binance Smart Chain, it doesn't let you give that option.
Newton has one of the worst customer services - no one uses that one
I lost my money there
They have one of the worst customer services around and they disallowed comments on their Reddit adds for a reason. Crypto is full scammers, if this is not a scam then it’s the most incompetent company ever.
VirgoCX has a better prices than Newton and live chat service, so I prefer them over Newton!

Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor their trade.. I will advice you to stop trading on your own it's very risky. Seek advice of a professional trader.

Crypt0 is pretty profitable at the moment. but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 750--k just in a matter of days/ weeks, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

Hi Brie , can you actually hook up a Ledger or Trezor cold wallet to your smart phone ? I use a tablet and find many hot wallets are not compatible never mind a cold wallet .
I believe you can with a Ledger, not sure about Trezor. Ledger has a support article on how to do it: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021488913-Connect-Ledger-Nano-S-to-your-phone?docs=true

Hi, do you know how to transfer Matic from Newton to Metamask in Polygon Mainnet?
Unfortunately the MATIC you buy from Newton is on the Ethereum network. I think you'd have to send your your Ethereum Network wallet and then bridge it over to Polygon, but obviously this is expensive b/c of gas. I've been using Crypto.com to buy Matic instead since they let you withdraw to the Polygon network!
My interact e transfer failed n don't know why. I used Tangerine n it seems to stop the fund n they claim they don't know 😮

It only took a couple of hours for me. I have been hearing that some people are getting "stuck" at the verification stage, and Newton's customer support has been lacking with help on that. It went super smoothly for me though, so I can't complain!

Went with Kraken, good platform and all but you have to be okay with moving in/paying with Btc or Eth at whatever the price is if you want to avoid the inconvenience and fees of $CDN transfers.
Most content with Shakepay so far.

Storing on a cold wallet best for long term storage and safety, but you can definitely make some good yields with staking or lending right now depending on the crypto. There is some risk involved, but I haven't personally experimented yet with staking myself yet. Def looking to test it out soon!

we cant swap coins anymore? we can only trade coins for canadian dollars or am i missing something? havent logged in in months
Were you ever able to swap coins on Newton? As long as I've been using it, you've only been able to sell one coin for CAD and then buy again.
@@BrieKirbyson yes it was possible. I emailed their support, they said it’s no longer available. Very inconvenient because now you have to pay gas fees to transfer to an exchange that will let you.
How easy to make canada tax report with newton ?
I have signed up and I am about do e-transfer, so I have do both from Newton site as well as my bank account for e-transfer? I need help, I am super new but am trying to start crypto. Thank you.
So you'll "request" an etransfer from within your Newton account, then you'll get an email from your bank which will prompt you to accept to send the payment over to your Newton account

Yep, both are on Newton, tho last I check you can't withdraw SOL just yet. I haven't used Kucoin

Newton sucks for trading,example if you want to buy Shib they sell it to you at higher then market price,then if you want sell it they give you a much lower then market price on the trade screen,but yet on their market screen it shows the accurate price,shifty.
