Interesting movie on a beautiful region! I crossed the Ai-Ais region last February, and then drove along the Oranje River, a marvellous souvenir! From Brussels, Belgium
Does anyone have Koos's contact details? This is the most amazing place on earth. The night skies are spectacular, just simply awsome! We grew up about 40km or so from eksteensfontein in the late sixties and seventies. My father had a fluorspar mine their, the home and office ruins are still their today. What an amazing place to grow up in and what a privilege it was. Most beautiful but relentless place on earth. I remember the Uys family well, maybe the children are still their. The people living their are the salt of the earth, good people.

Sorry , but thanks for the offer anyway . More than 3000 farmers have been murdered already and the political Left are saying we will take back our land , and the government is trying to change the constitution to nationalise the land . So it doesnt give me much incentive though I would love to . My father farmed in the Karoo.
