I've been tithing and have seen God's windows of heaven 🙏 open up beyond measure. I make less money now than I did when I worked in the hospital and since I've been faithful over a little God has increased me in every area of my life! I'm known as the 'stash' mom and aunt now and my son, neices and nephew's are following my lead. To God be the Glory and all He uses, (you Lynn) to be a blessing
He is faithful and when we are obedient he rewards us beyond our comprehension. May you continue to listen to the Holy Spirit!

Girl you got me straight on the purse situation. I literally was just in the Coach store looking for a wallet to go with my Coach purse. I bought the purse while on vacation some years ago and needed a new wallet. The wallet, on a super sale 60% off, was still almost $150. The wallets normally run $200 plus. I was like no way. I walked out like that's crazy. I love Coach but I don't think I ever noticed how expensive they because I only buy what I can afford. And now I may carry $20 or so dollars in my wallet so I will be looking for a wallet and purse in that price range going forward. I can still buy Coach but it will be at a cosignment shop or thrift store. No need to pay $300 to carry $20.

My golden rule if I don't have that amount of money to always have in that purse I can't afford it.

This strategy absolutely work. I have tried it for a year. I heard you speak Christmas 2019 and I was already tithing, paying bills and saving whatever I had left to save. I prayed about it and once I start following this rule, it amaze me how much more money I had December 2020 versus the lack of funds I had December 2019. This rule forced me to realize I had a spending addiction. All praise to the most high God. 🙌🏽❤️🙏🏽

I went from spending 100 a month in my hair to now no more than 20 bucks a month and sometime only every other month. I am living as a minimalist but with nice stuff that will last, and having multiple sources of income. I am actually following steve job, and keeping 90% of things that are assets not liabilities. The author of rich dad poor dad says you keep mostly things that are assets not liabilities.
This hit my heart! The "universal purse test" is brilliant! I re-watched that part and wrote down what Lynn said! I've never thought of it that way before.
I am SO glad I avoided the materialism trap. The ONLY things I spend on a regular basis are fixed bills and necessitates, a few key items I need to look sharp at work, and tools/supplies to do my work or upgrade the quality of the work.. Cute outfits to look cute? No. Jewelry? No. Fancy shoes or bags? No. Going to the club? No. Vacations? No. I'd rather take that $$ and invest in assets, or have funds to help someone in need. One splurge though - groceries. I like eating healthy and cooking is my hobby so I give myself a pass to buy good veggies and the occasional cut of high quality meat. Its good to know that it doesn't take much to be happy if you know your purpose, goals and the real value of the money you get to have access to and manage.

Tithe with a church here on RUclips. I follow Transformation Church with Pastor Michael Todd. My tithes go to him.

I honestly do not know where to start. I make $1,100 bi weekly and my business makes $200 minimum monthly however I have more bills and automatic debt coming out and literally nothing left for anything.

Put God first before your debts. Your debts will never relinquish priority in your finances -- they will always demand to come first until YOU make the change. God first, then yourself, then your family then your job and everything else follows. I adopted that discipline a few years back and I have experienced unprecedented revenues in my business and financial peace of mind.

No no, tithes go to God house and offering go to whom ever you please, charity, love one and some offering still go back to the Lord house

Not every church deserves your hard earned money. Ask them very calmly and without attitude, what is being done with the money that we give the church? Then watch the reaction that you get from leadership. If it's not in harmony with what is needed in our community and in harmony with the will of God, then find another church or you help people in need directly.

At this moment, I pay them on my net pay. If i switch, it will not damage the church. The church i attend is paid in full . ..however we have utilities and maintenance.
Ive always done net. Some ppl do gross.
Do either one, God will not punish you for that, He will love you praying gross or net. Just give from your heart and don’t over think it, if it’s from the heart it’s all God.
