Thanks for a great review and a heads up. I live in the UK and it's not on their website so I'm ready and 'prepared' lol, to click away as soon as it arrives here. Plus I got early access to their flash sale. Thanks again man for the heads up 👍
I agree that the opening direction of the clip was off-putting at first, but you’re absolutely right- if they’d had it open inward like we are all used to for carabiner clips, the usefulness would have been MUCH less. I think they made the right choice here, and we’ll just have to get used to different, for our own benefit. I was surprised at how strong the magnets are; it’s good to see that they didn’t “cheap out” and use magnets that were just barely strong enough to hold the light, like some companies have done with some lights. Unlike the magnetic tail caps of Olight’s more traditional cylinder-shaped flashlights, the purpose of the magnets here isn’t to align and hold the lightweight charging cable to the light, but it is instead to hold the light itself to a metal surface, so these need to be strong, and they are.
Looks like a handy work light for small/medium tasks. Having the shots of the car tire and you in the same frame as the light shining on the deck/in the room was very useful in showing its abilities. It's nice they included a 12 lumen mode, I can see that being a handy tent light, especially if you like to read before bed. A good size for always keeping in your car but on the large side imo if you ride. Even with extra storage I'd probably want something smaller.
I love these kind of Lights I buy them all the time from various different stores. Just one store I would like to find one with a power source of at least 5000 mah the run times then would be much much greater
Yeah, I didn't like how the clip opened outward either, but it does have plenty of mounting/standing options as alternatives. Very nice and informative 👍
This. I'd also add manufacturing variances. Whenever a light is a few minutes short of its stated runtime I don't consider it as a failure. Ideally you'd run the test under the same conditions multiple times for a more accurate representation but I realize how impractical that is.
Absolutely agreed. I basically give the test a one shot deal. It performs how it performs in the moment. If it goes above and beyond GREAT. If it fails so be it. In the real world thats how things would typically work anyways. Most people are gonna use this for an hour or 2 and recharge it anyways. You're definitely right about about more testing being impractical, but sometimes necessary . I typically only make about $30-$50 on a video with less than 6,000 views. Testing a $25 light like this usually costs me about $350-$600 of my time depending on the level of detail I need to go into. So if anything I'm already taking a bath on the review LOL. but its a fun hobby.
@@PreparedGuy iirc you usually have a caveat about battery performance anyway. I don't have a problem because you've addressed it, plus for the average EDC user I don't think it's of critical importance. The place where I would want that kind of thorough testing is critical equipment you or others are relying on with your/their life like cave divers or mountain climbers or a search and rescue/1st responders etc.
It's called the "Swivel" yeet it doesn't. The higher output version does allow you to manually turn the head. But there's no motor. So why call it the "Swivel"? 2nd CON would be the UI. shuts off after 3 seconds if you want to change modes after 3 seconds?? Why wouldn't they use the flashlight UI? :P Has it's uses....
I picked up an orange one during the last sale. As soon as I check out they were sold out. I got real lucky. Nice review as always.

I order 2.. 1 yellow and 1 black. And they are nice..

8:48 I've watched every swivel review I could find and your the only person who mentions this glow in the dark bezel. You get 2 gold stars!
🤣👍 yay! ⭐⭐
Not really something that I need but I definitely see how it could be useful. Seems to be a good design

I've got a blue one of these, they're fantastic.
Excellent video. earned a follow. keep it up
Thank you so much for the support 😊👍
I was lucky enough to buy one when they first came out. Very useful emergency light. Missed out on the orange version which I wanted for my car.
I love mine. But the carabineer is frustratingly awkward to use being in the "outward open" position. 😎👍

Great job.....big to France !😮
fookin great jon 100%
I want one!
Environmental factors ALWAYS affect battery performance.

I tried to buy one on their site. The purchase program wasn't working right, finally gave up.
This would be super usefull
I usually do my quick painting an night.
🤣👍
I like this
Good is an adjective. Well is an adverb.
Why don’t they just keep the UI of click and hold to change modes? Very annoying to me when they don’t have that
Agreed. They really dropped the ball with the UI on this one.
@@PreparedGuy yup, I won’t be getting it at the flash sale tonight solely because of the UI. I don’t get why they wouldn’t just be consistent
Can it run while charging
Yes
👌🏾👍✌️
I can find something similar at my local Walmart!😐
