One thing I forgot to say during this guide is that you need to go back to Market Square after 'Defend the Defenders Heart' mission and kill VROCK(middle of Market Square map), Nabasu(where necromancer was) and Shadow Demon(close to the temple of Desna, basement, use see invisability) and loot +2 longbow. After that you can go to Gray Garrison. Thanks for watching!

Best channel on RUclips in my opinion and not because we enjoy this same type of games. It’s because you hold nothing back and speak your mind. In the US men have become weakened to the point of wondering if there is any testosterone left. Easy times breed weak men and a country tolerant of everything stands for nothing. Your review of wasteland 3 was tits bro. Best review of a game I’ve ever seen.

You can do the minimum stuff in Kenabres that are necessary for being able to order the attack on Grey Garrison, instead of clearing everything. Go speak with Beth and tell her you're ready for the assault. When the game asks you to select a party, cancel/exit the menu (click the x on the top right). Now you can clean up Kenabres at your own pace. The attack on the inn will never happen. When you're ready for the Garrison just go back to Beth and make the same dialogue choice.

There was a way to avoid defending the inn early. The messenger that triggers the battle can only find you on the travel map or inn itself. So save before traveling and reload if you get encounter with him. I dont know if it can be used to clear all the maps but it helped me to prolong the clearing of Kenabris for a day and reach lvl 5. Another unfortunate thing is - you cant return to locations in Kenabris after Grey Garrison. So if you speed clear the objectives and trigger the Grey Garrisson assault to avoid tavern battle - dont. You lose a lot more that the reward for speed.

I could be wrong, but in regards to choice about Hosilla difficulty, I think what matters more is wether you picked Wenduag or Lann. If you picked Lann, it will be much harder, since You will have to fight her with Wenduag as well, unless you choose demon path. But if You have Wenduag, You can chose angel and I didn't notice much of a difference.

@@Wergliathis is much easier to take both Wendy and Angel path😊. So you get easier fight with Hosilla, without her in 2 boss fight stage and buff with angelic aspect in the beginning of Tower of Estrod from guardian. 1 less fight and very good buff before tough battle in Tower.

I could be wrong, though I think that the timed 3-day period leading to the Defender's Heart battle only starts once you've arrived at Defender's Heart from the Shield Maze. On hard anyway, I have been able to rest as many times as I like and still have 3 days once getting out of the maze/garrison. I noticed that resting in the Gray Garrison you do incur the corruption status, so maybe it starts in the Gray Garrison, not the shield maze.
I did run into the problem on my last run though where I cleared the central stuff in market square, rescued the storyteller, went back to DH and took a (recommended, 2 days 9 hours!!!!) rest and literally didn't have enough time to reach Daeran who I really would have liked to have had on the defense. One single rest messed that up (after the shield maze). The rest times for recommended rests are kinda absurd frequently hitting ~ 3 days. Maybe soon I'll stop making new characters and running shield maze over an over lol. I need to get back to my Act3 first run.
Edit: Holy cow you do so much with virtually no rests, and reach lvl 5 before Defender's Heart battle, so good, so good.

9:42 - I remember watching this video long ago and since that day I had 3 unfair runs all of which were solo during act 1 and I heavily used scrolls.
But now after the last patches this strategy is dead because the devs pretty much robbed Vissaliy's inventory by removing all the best scrolls from it or reducing their numbers.
RIP scroll strategy, you were good while you lasted.

    • @Werglia

Demon - Wenduag kills her and you only fight quasits
Angel - You fight Wenduag, Quasits and Hosilla combined in second phase.

23:46 have you ever played dos2? Act 1 in that games blows this games completely out of the water, there were like 5-6 different ways to escape the fort in that act. Wotr has nothing on that from what I've seen thus far

    • @Werglia
      @Werglia  2 года назад +6

I got more then a thousand videos for DOS2(guides, reviews, bosses, secrets, walkthroughs...) on the channel and it's one of my favourite cRPG's of all time.
DOS2 is not in the same league as WOTR true.
WOTR is at least 100 times more complex game, 10 times bigger and with much better replay value.
Tactician in DOS2 is Normal in WOTR. Unfair achievement in WOTR is done by less then 1% of players in total and that says it all. WOTR happens once in 20years.
