Yeah, this is not enough for 100 creation points. Hopefully the maker will add functionality to add the value, like variable prices depending on levels of damage, reduction of ship parts effectiveness, etc. It just needs some hook.
According to the description of the mod, that is exactly what it does. Unless I misread or misremembered, it said damage levels to your ship affects price of repairs.
I have a better idea for a mod. If you complete a faction's questline favorably ship repairs are free from ship technicians of that faction. That would be a better fit and be more in line with the way other things work. Like the rewards you get from the UC for becoming a citizen for example.
This mod has promise. A wee bit of adjustment will improve the emersion value. Another feature to raise the realism level would be to make the repairs take some time. It would be neat if you had to stay in town over night to give the mechs some time to do their job. Thanks Crim, iFalcon
I think all you really need to repair ship systems is time with power allocated to speed up the process. I think the ship technicians only fix hull damage. It might be a good idea for a mod to require "ship parts" to fix systems, but only if you or a crew member has the skills to do it, or have the ship tech fix that too. That would make "limping into port" a real thing especially for beginners. Wouldn't want to be stuck without a grav drive or engines though so maybe anyone can repair a single bar :)
This is another case of where there are other options to get this result, and they are free. I do not oppose paid mods, necessarily, but I do have an issue putting out mods that are essentially tweaking settings that anyone can do. This falls in that case where there's no real IP to protect and anyone who wants can release something similar.
I can't agree with this kind of mod: lets divvy up game settings and sell them piecemeal for a dollar(or more). At most, this kind of mod should come as part of an 'Immersive Settings Pack' and have like 20-30 options while costing maybe $3. On the topic of the Voyager ship, yeah, it has a lot of end game parts but Stroud-Ecklund layouts can be confusing to navigate. Uh... I'd advise against removing Ship Parts as they are used in some sidequests/acitivities.
Can't see myself using this mod as is. Ship damage is one of those things that Bethesda abstracted. It will take a complete rewrite of the entire system to get right.
Pay for the mod, then ignore the ship tech and buy ship parts. I wouldn't install this mod for free, lol. Also, vanilla fixes all the systems, not just the hull. Just another paid mod that doesn't deserve money. If I'm paying for a mod, it has to bring something special to the game, not just a variable number tied to the cost of the ship and hull damage received. Still not the worst I've seen, though. Some people were literally reselling unity assets. Bethesda needs to set some standards, there, lol.
Coffee time. Well now. Yes in the base game, ship repair is just the hull repair, good news the 1 k will fix the hull in one shot where it may take several ship parts, thus more money. Oh, great video, thanks for posting. Think I’d rather give my extra credits to ship building.
Ridiculous to charge for this
This is not worth buying, he should of made this mod free and he would gain more from the exposure.
If it was free I would download it lol 😂
It's a flippin' dollar! Give the guy a break.

“Took me 5 minutes to find the gdamn bridge”
Ngl I laughed out loud 😂

@@YAKUP_KIRCALLI permanent elimination of power even after you replace the part is not really good
The starvival mod is free and offers so much more.

I really like this mod author's work, but charging for this is down right ridiculous. He should be ashamed of himself.

Aren't there free mods that do the same thing? Starvival?
Haha, who would buy this.
