Sometimes, a game have hidden gems, in all honesty of how much I love Subnautica, there are 3 things I really love about Subnautica Below Zero, the new environment, the ending, but the best, is this song.
This was the first Jukebox theme I found. I remember being huddled inside my single-room base in the Shallow Bridges, listening to this song as I waited for my first crops to grow for food, trying to gather the courage to dive into the Squidshark den below the bridges. Hours of playtime later, the song hit so different-I was playing it on my way out of the Fabricator Caverns, and while I was saying goodbye to the massive complex I had constructed from that single room all those hours ago. Knowing the game was basically over, it was a fantastic (and even nostalgic) feeling. Below Zero didn't really have an End Credits Theme like the original did. The credits theme was sort of underwhelming compared to "Abandon Ship" from the first game. Therefore, this song is basically the entirety of Below Zero for me. I will forever see it as the official ending theme of the game.

Congratulations on getting this featured in Below Zero! I tend to be pretty selective about what counts as good videogame music. It has to convey the experience in auditory format and transport the listener to the world of the game. This song most definitely achieves that, and I am glad I had the opportunity to hear it. what an extremely well done music track! especially the lyrics have a nice complexity to it and actually tell a story than just random gibberish that we oh so often hear nowdays. coupled with the excellent tone it was sung + a well fitting background music and you got yaself a masterpiece!
I really like this video mixing the two cinematic trailers together the way it does. It really helps to hit home that you as the player are only a tiny but significant fragment of the story of this world. I found this on a disk in Outpost Zero in Below Zero today. I wish I’d found it sooner, because I beat the game earlier tonight. Next time, though, I’ll definitely listen to this some more.

Just decided to get subnautica below zero today after playing Subnautica for years and found this song on a disc for my jukebox. I went straight home to see what the new song was that I had found because anything is better than the default song 😂 pressed play and immediately I got a small smile on my face and started reminiscing about all my adventures good and bad on subnautica. Just decided to get subnautica below zero today after playing Subnautica for years and found this song on a disc for my jukebox. I went straight home to see what the new song was that I had found because anything is better than the default song 😂 pressed play and immediately I got a small smile on my face and started reminiscing about all my adventures good and bad on subnautica. It is now on repeat in my base 😅 Awesome song. Thank you for honouring subnautica by means of this beautiful melody :)
