I watched your Q&A a few weeks ago and I wanted to say that I so appreciate you showing your home even if you think it's not perfectly Instagram worthy! I love seeing the perfect modern or updated aesthetic house but the reality is most of us don't live in a perfect house and I appreciate you being authentic.
Thank you for this! Obviously you're opening your home up to judgment, but we all are at different stages of "perfect."
Thank you for not waiting for everything to be “perfect”! I’ve loved watching you renovate your beautiful house one room at a time and on a budget. It feels so much more realistic and inspiring!
Hi Megan. You keep saying that 'one day this is going to be nice and cute'.... well, I think your house allready is nice and cute. It's filled with love and care and really thought-through solutions. We work with what we have, and make it our own, and you do it SO well! I love the kids' playroom. You have SO much space for you family, and you have a teacher's eye for how to make your kids thrive. I love your channel.
Personally I'd call your kitchen renovated already. I think it is beautiful!
I think your home is lovely Megan... definitely don't apologize for ongoing renovations, as you are just being frugal and taking time to decide on what is needed. I have a 34 year old house that receives 1 project renovation every couple years in which I set a strict budget. Now retired, I have no desire to make anything high-end, or match what others think it should look like. As long as my materials for upgrades are modern and fresh, I am happy 😊
Your home is deceptively large!!! So many special spaces with two offices, a play room, a laundry room, a sun room, a finished basement! What a great home!!! It seems like you are between mid century modern and boho downstairs and more traditional upstairs. Love what you have done for the bathrooms and the bedrooms and all the spaces you've worked on. As for centerpiece suggestions for the table, You have young kids so the table center piece could be the nearest holiday. I still have Valentine's things (heart shaped napkin holder, heart shaped planters or boxes, red candles, a few sprinkled paper/foil hearts would work) and will have St. Patrick's Day things in March because I am part Irish. May not be a big Mennonite holiday but around here you can buy little planters of shamrocks. (Have the kids paint shamrocks on rocks, get little leprechaun dolls etc. ) Otherwise, candles always make a pretty center piece and can be any color. The fruit is pretty and practical too. May just splurge on a basket you love for them. Hope the little one has arrived happy and healthy! All the best and God bless!
Megan when you replace your washer and dryer look into Speed Queen. They aren't pretty to look at but they are still built really well and will last you!
Love Speed Queen! I do laundry at my parents' house just to use theirs. lol Cycle is FAST, and it gets the clothes SO clean!
Yes 🙌
My daughter with 6 kids told me about speed queen. Love my set.
Love my speed queen
I was going to say the same thing. Get the one that is more mechanical with the agitator. I've had my SQ washer since 2012 and it is the best one I've ever owned. It was more spendy, but worth every penny.
Be grateful to have such a spacious house. It's all fine!
I have never seen your kitchen as "old". You have a very nice style and keep your home so welcoming.❤ Sometimes it's hard to see it when we live in it everyday.
I have noticed that Most Mennonite homes are so clean and have a very neat vibe.
Megan, you've got the world by the tail! You and Josh are doing a great job with the family!!
I think your home is lovely Megan & so spacious. I don't feel like everything has to be new & modern as long as it's comfortable for you & your family.
I actually love the dark trim, I have a house that was built in the late 50s and I feel like the wooden trim goes well in that style of home. White has its place but its not the only option!
Nope - looks much nicer upstairs where the trims are all white, imho.
@@sallyannc3176 🤣
L😅ove
Agreed. I have a mid 50s home and I love the warmth of my blond maple cabinets. And I also love their durability!
New cabinets of good quality cost a fortune.
My husband & I purchased a 1897 folk Victorian home 3 years ago & are working on improvements but keeping the natural character of the home. It has amazing stain glass windows, original detail wood trim, original wood floors, gas heaters, & the original floor plan.
Megan you have a beautiful home!! You and Josh should be proud of all the changes you have made to each room. You have wonderful spaces for your family!! We have lived in our home for 38 years (ranch built in 1979). We have made many changes and we love it. We are empty nesters now so it is quiet but large enough for when the 6 grandchildren come over. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!!
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve ever done! It’s so relatable. Sometimes it feels like my house is the only one that has non-aesthetic corners.
Hi Megan, thank you for the tour of your lovely home, I never realised how big it actually is and yes the play room will make a great dining room one day. I’m lucky like you being married to a carpenter is definitely a plus when it comes to doing things around your home. I love your home xxx
👵💜 I love the home.tour! You have changed it a lot. It looks warm, cozy and lovely. It is lived in. For a home with 3 almost 4 children and 2 adults it is perfection. Relax and enjoy. I hope baby boy is here by now and your nights are not totally sleepless. 👵💜
It’s very lovely. American homes are much more roomy than the majority of the average house in the uk, although anything old here is usually genuinely old, and as a result there are some beautiful buildings. But your home is just gorgeous, A true family home. Just don’t know how you keep it so clean and tidy.
You have a really lovely home. I love your color palette. It's very serene and soothing.
A home with character and personality ! ❤ what a blessing thatsm sunroom is.
I love how you are renovating your home Megan! I think it is simply beautiful or beautifully simple. 😊 The nursery is so sweet in its neutral tones. The boys' bedroom is styled perfectly for them now and for them to grow into. I love that you chose to turn the formal dining room into a play room for now because that is the stage of life you are currently in. Please don't ever make apologies for your home!
It is lovely!
You and Josh are being responsible in renovating as your budget allows. One of the caveats of that is that you always have something to look forward to and so do we!
😁
Love the “scrollee” thing in the kitchen. It’s character and looks awesome
Loving the sun room with all the plants. Such a beautiful space. ❤
Oh my goodness your house is huge! I wish I had that much space. It’s beautiful and I love the old and the new. ❤
Well I just Love that your making THIS home the way you want it to be- gradually. New homes are over- rated & trying to have the best & newest ( like others) think they Need is just Not being content. You & Josh have all the room you will ever need & just Love it cause it’s filled with sweet memories for ALL your little family. Anyway- I’m 60 years old and have lived long enough to know a few things-Much Love from NC❤
Your style has always been my favorite! I love how you decorate!
Your home is beautiful! I built a new home several years ago and got to pick a lot of what I wanted. I’ll admit i love the character of your home and the way you have it decorated more than my own. It’s very cozy.
I love your home! You and your hubby are so creative and artistic! I also love the non open room concept where there are actual rooms! I remember when the open room concept became very popular and I personally couldn’t stand it. I live rooms on their own. Anyway you did a wonderful job.
You are so right about the washers & dryers! When my son, who's now 24, was a baby my husband bought me a washer/dryer set for anniversary & Christmas, both in December. It was when the big front load with the base under it first came out. I was thrilled, never had anything so nice. It lasted me over 17yrs! Washer went out one week, dryer the next.. but i couldn't complain! That was 6yrs ago and we have had 2 sets since.. don't think these will last long either🫤Like homes and vehicles.. don't make nothing like they use to! The rug in the play room is beautiful, love the mural and window seat too! Your bedroom is stunning, and the bathroom too❤ You really have a beautiful home, thank you for the your! Enjoyed😊
Congratulations Megan on your new baby, and you have a beautiful home you can tell you put a lot of hard work and thought into it. Blessings on you as you raise your four children for Jesus
Paint your backsplash. And Josh can saw off the squiggly board above sink and make straight
Great money & time saving suggestions. I was also thinking rather than having to rip out the cabinets, if they are well made, solid wood, restaining or painting them could save money, too. I actually love the kitchen as it is-sans the squiggly board. Lol
I was telling her to cut off that squiggly board above the sink when they painted the kitchen but she had some reason why Josh wouldn't do it.
i know i'm in the minority but i love the detail above the sink - it adds character
The valence board at the top of the kitchen window is lovely and it might be a reflection of the style home you have, or when it was built. Our home was built at the same time and also has the valence board at the kitchen window! It’s also very large with a full basement. All the rooms in your home are large and I know you are thankful for that! Your home is something to be proud of, as you have decorated it very beautifully and the lot it’s on is lovely with the huge patio and gorgeous lawn!
I'm always team get rid of board above sink!
You have a very large home! Wonderful place! You’re doing great decorating. I’m sooo behind on decorating our larger home. I need to chill out and not overanalyze like you showed. Thanks for sharing!
Megan, your home is beautiful as I have always said. You are a young family and have accomplished so much in such few years. How glorious and lovely you and Josh have made it. I am sure years from now you can look back and ask each other how you did so much in such a small bit of time with that precious little brood of children young and busy, busy, busy. Your home is much larger than it appears to be and all that room.........I absolutely love it! Perhaps the blue in the bath doesn't go with your design for now, but I can only imagine running up and down stairs each time anyone needs to use the powder room!! I know when the time is right you will delight in switching it up. Your home is so warm and cozy (even though it is very large) and looks very comfortable and welcoming! So blessed! I love all the changes you have made and it is amazing with Josh's talents and your own you get it just "right" for your lifestyle. Beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your home, I am sure many will get some awesome ideas from you. Multitalented are both you and Josh! Blessings on your family and I hope baby has arrived and all is well. May God bless you and your beautiful young family! ♥🥰♥
I love to see people slowly redo their homes because that is how most people in the “real world” do it. We can’t all buy or build a brand new house.
I love the scrolly part of the kitchen! It's the best part.
You have a gorgeous home 🏡 Always be grateful for what you have, a perfect home does not feel lived in.
Thank you for the tour ❤
I like the mix of dark wood & the scrolly thing gives is character 😊
I’ve seen your play room dozens of times, but I only realized watching it this time that I have the same rug in my living room!
Hi Megan, thank you for sharing your home with us! I love your home. My favorite rooms are the sun room, your bedroom and bathroom😊❤️
I actually really like the blue toilet 😂 go full blue with a wallpaper or blue vanity.
Oh yes, we also have a one blue toilet and one pink of the three!! Your house looks wonderful!
You're home looks amazing and I know you said it's not clean but sure looks it to me. A lived in home is not the "perfect" spotless home of IG or Pinterest and that's completely fine! You've done such a great job with all of the styling and nothing to worry about you're doing great.
Oh wow Megan, this is absolutely beautiful!!! You and Josh have really got a gorgeous home…
Wow. What a difference. Added so much style and class. Love the darker color. Also the new hardware. Great choice. Excited to see the butcher block top on your next video. Hugs, Caroline.
Your home seems so cozy, welcoming and filled with love! it's truly beautiful!!
We appreciate that you shared your whole home with us just before having a baby 🤩 I adore the stencil in the nursery! Blessings to you and your family 😊
I just started the video and already loving your thoughts process. We just moved out of an RV in to our 1973 house (literally sleeping on the floor and fixing things as we go). Our house has one room still with 1973 glitter flower wallpaper, and blue porcelain bathroom. Plus the fireplace was made by the previous owners from petrified wood they found on the property and river rocks and crystals they collected on vacation. It has so much vintage we are trying to leave what isn’t rotted or torn to pieces by the cat they had. Thankfully they left all the antique dressers, so a few pieces of furniture we don’t have to buy.
I actually like the blue toilet🤷♀️🤣, its fun. Take down the wallpaper in there and put up new paper or paint it a fresh color and embrace it. Can always be a little more risky in a half bath. Congratulations on your new baby❤
You can cut the scrolly thing above the kitchen sink super quick and easily with a jigsaw! I did that to mine and it instantly modernized my kitchen. It doesn't make a huge mess and truly takes like 5 minutes. Do it!
You never cease to amaze me! You are always on time! Super mom, super wife, super woman! Enjoy your beautiful family. Continued blessings.❤
I love the dark trim and how you decorated. Thanks for the tour
You have a really beautiful, bright and very big home. I even think that the parts you think are ugly, like your kitchen, are someone else's dream (mine for example). Looking at all the pinterest and instagram we tend to lose a bit the sense of reality.
Never give up your honesty...😁
I love the mix of practicality, function and beauty.
Everything looks so beautiful! I believe I’m owning your style and loving your home as you grow! I love that you share all that with us! ✨💛🤎
Loved your tour, love your home! It’s perfect as always. I’ve been with you for years and it does my heart good to know that you and Josh have remained true to yourselves and don’t give in to the frills of social media. I have a hard time relating to content creators that seem to get caught up in everything needing to be all white, cold and bare. Your home is one that I’d feel so comfortable and welcomed into. 🤗
Megan, we remodeled our 1970's kitchen years ago. We had the scalloped board over our sink. We tore out the board and replace the florescent light with a pretty non- florescent light. It looked great and updated. I love your home and the choices you have made in updating each room. Your kitchen looks remodeled to me and I know from experience your kitchen cabinets are made better than the ones of today. If you choose to replace anything in due time replace your countertops or backslash and leave your high-end cabinets alone. Josh has done a beautiful job. I love your old/new look. If you have had your baby I can't wait to see him and find out his name. I pray you are doing well. I have been with your channel since the beginning and Evonnie was a baby. If God is willing I hope you have 1 more baby girl someday. All your children are precious to me. Take Care ❤
My three-year-old: “I wanna go to Megan Fox’s house.” 😊 You have such a beautiful style, Megan! Thank you for taking time to share.
Your home is family friendly and very elegant at the same time! You and Josh are so talented!
Thank you for sharing. I have that Maytag Washer Dryer set. It will turn 21 this year! I love it and although I have been setting money aside for when it dies to buy a new set I hope they last forever. 😂. Enjoy your new little one and relax.
Hi Megan, your house is so lovely and unique, so many homes are either so over the top or cookie cutter, where your touches are beautiful yet unique to your style. I love it ❤
I enjoy seeing the updates on your HOME! Enjoy the continual process of changes they are always needed. We have a pellet stove and it's wonderful. Blessings on your new baby boy!💙
You have a beautiful home. I think you appreciate your home if you have to create it in stages. Blessings on your new baby.
Megan congratulations on your sweet baby! I prayed and prayed for you girl! God is good!!!!! I hope postpartum finds you well🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much!!
Oh!! I hadn't got to that part yet!!! So excited!!! 😄 😄 😄
Meagan i love your home ! it’s very nice . i just wanted to say when i was very young my parents divorced because my real father was a horrible alcoholic and very abusive . later my mother remarried a man who’s last name was also Fox ! he was very kind and good to me . I feel like Fox is a good name .
Magen , your home is roomy and lovely, and a wonderful place to raise a family
What a lovely home! I liked the Megan touches! ❤
It was fun to see everything in total, even though I believe I’ve seen all the changes as they’ve been accomplished. Everything is lovely! Another item that would be lovely, is if Josh would make some of those small floating shelves for your shop! I’d love to hang those in our home, too. 😊 Thanks for sharing so much with us, including your knowledge on how to pull a house into a home. ❤
THANK YOU FOR SHARING ... I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH... YOUR HOME IS YOUR HOME AND TOUCH.... LOVELY
Your home is very beautiful. You’ve done a lot of work on it. It’s much bigger than I thought. So nice. Thank you for sharing this with us.
You have such a beautiful home! I just love it! You and your husband have done a fantastic job! 😊-Joanna
Wow you have a huge house! Lots and lots of square footage. Wish we had a basement. Josh is an amazing contractor! You are very lucky.
I think your house is awesome and adorable!! It is huge!!!!! A little at a time!
I love plants as centerpieces on tables!
We had the pink sink, tub and toilet combo. A few years ago my brother broke the toilet and tried to replace it with a pink so my dad wouldn't know 😂 they are too expensive now so we have a white one. Tub it still pink though!
New here !! Love your home and your style ! Idea for center piece for table… get short planter , plants some green plants with a pot turned on side with a few stones then one stone rested on pot like a tomb. Then make 3 crosses with sticks to put towards back of planter. It can even be left up after resurrection Sunday ! I saw it in instagram.
I'm in the midst of new flooring in my whole house. I've been here almost 30 years. It's way bigger than l need but just works!
You could paint your backsplash for a quick and affordable makeover until you can replace. Love your quirky style. 2 Thumbs up!
Thank you for showing us your house. I absolutely love your sun room!!🤍 This is inspiring for me because I’m new to homemaking and it’s nice seeing a beautiful, affordable way to decorate!😊
Your house is stunning. The sunroom is my favorite room, then your room and your office and then the kitchen❤❤❤❤
Love your home! You don’t need a living room! When you are ready to do your kitchen …do it biggggg😉. With dream storage. It is all gorgeous….everything ❤
Good day to you, we bought a home that was built in the early 70s and we didn’t change much about it. It was panel with paneling the entire house except a few spaces like the bathroom and part of the dining room area. We kept the kitchen cabinets just like they were they were in good shape and I just keep them polished, but I like the feel of the pan and I do wash the pan with my old cedar mop, to keep it clean and shiny, but I love the Bob of this home. It’s almost like a Lakeside home we have a large deck that we enjoy, you enjoy your home you have made it acalm cozy home filled with love
So great to follow alone, and see what you have created, and hearing your thoughts a long the way 😊 Was like walking through your house as a friend visiting ❤😊
Thanks again, love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
Your home is beautiful! Your comments at the end was perfect, make your home your home and don’t follow the rules out there. 😊
You have a flair for decorating ! I love boho personally .
You guys have done a wonderful job with your home. Our house was built in the early 1980's. We've been here 23 years and I'm not sure the house will ever be done. haha We just did the 2nd full bath upstairs and my husband is now installing oak hardwood floors in our bedroom. Kitchen is next.
Your home looks homey!
The Sunroom is beautiful and so relaxing.
Thanks for the tour. Love what you have done with the renovations
Love the cabinet in your office, really beautiful!
Beautiful home... lots of charm and space!!!!
I vote for a plant on the dining room table . . . Maybe something low and rambling . . . A succulent ?? You have a beautiful home 🙏🏻🏡❤️
I love your house. Our house is also from the 60s but significantly smaller. Mismatched trim, original cabinetry, original wood floors that haven’t been cared for too well. It was fun seeing your home. After seeing your home, I think I should add more color to my walls. I’ve kept them white to help it feel bigger.
Thanks for sharing your sweet home. Cozy!!❤
You have made a very beautiful home for your family.
Congratulation on your new baby.
I have the same dryer love it!! It’s the same kind that I grew up with and it was just the one that happened to come with our house.
Great family home, so cozy. You've done a great job with the renovations.
I love love love your kitchen ! You should see our 80’s beauty 😂😂😂 I always say love grows best in lived in houses ❤
I loved the home tour!! It all looks so cozy and very Megan! Thanks for bringing us along! 🤎🏡🪡
