Tammy, I see that your mom knows how to sew things together very well. Madison and Kaila are great helpers and may gain some sewing knowledge in the process. Some indoor/outdoor carpet can do well for the deck even in the summer. I'd enjoy a night in your tent with a good little bit stove and your good cooking. Should I bring the steaks and my own cot? Might also need to bring some seasoned tamarack and red fur that puts out a bit more heat. Use small C clamps to tie it up. Pins that are named safety might not do the job. Another great video that was done before the actual camping. Have a super wonderful day. Moses

you are so lucky to have a mom that knows her stuff! Working with that much heavy fabric is tough. I was happy to see the girls involved. I hadn’t realized how mobile the tent could be! Just thinking that you’re bear

good idea he overlapped material this meant seam would becovered. imagine making your own tent what a task good for her. im middle laying out material making curtains and dog jackets too. getting cold got to get dog jackets finished.

Love it Tami! And I especially love the fact that it was a family affair!
For a base I would put down a heavy tarp to stop wind. I would fold it up under the roof of the tent so water, snow, or wind can’t get in. I would then put down some sort of outdoor carpet for insulation on the floor. Around the fireplace I would put down sheet of Hardibacker, available at your local Home Desperate. This is to prevent hot ash or sparks from doing nefarious things! I would definitely sleep in that sort of get up, just keep the fire on and the coffee hot!

If you use the design you have minus the dragons for roof lift it up try to make walls even insulate with a bail wall and then it will be warm enough for wintercamping if you mud it up red clay 6 1/2 1 1/2 water 1 1/2 sand 1 1/2 straw cob and then clay the outer bails for insulated lower walls for winter camping and then use your nice tent top roof with a wood stove or if you have jackery you can get a 2 in one system that the tiny houses and geodomes use to heat or cool a tent

Viking Tent is a business in Canada . Not Colorado. As of Spirit Forest, do not add pagan things on the designs as GOD is JESUS and HE IS GOD ONLY HE IS SPIRIT that you need to concern yourself with in order to prosper. I do wish you well . However I want to point out that the real Vikings they built more dome structure design like sod houses cabins dug outs to live in so maybe try to build small cabins that are dug outs with logs inside sood grass soil earth built up for insulation and then a dome style geodome covered in sod or a davinci bridge roof then cover it that is more viking like if you have ever seen what the place in New Foundland the 700AD settlement of the IRISH KINGS that is more viking like . As for Natives they built long house or Wigwam styles. You could build the Wigwams and the pretty weaving patterns on the black boards you painted try weaving hazel the wattle and daub style and make those for the glamping campsite that you have. I am sure you will get lots of hunters of wilderness cross country skiers and things that like an outdoor adventure.
