Yeah, great move showing us the contents of Ryan's brain! Also, I agree this version of _Enter_ _Sandman_ is the best (and I don't just mean best by The Warning).
hey thanks for putting Ryan's brain up there, it was so cool to hear the newer version of The Warning and see it cued up perfectly with the older version of The Warning... Awesome bruh!!!
I appreciate how you touch on the arc of their careers, and sharing the sense of pride for these wonderful young women. Splicing in the Ted Talk version of Survive was brilliant. Cheers.
This has to be one of the best reaction videos out there on You Tube. The synced TEDX /Pepsi Center videos side by side on Survive was absolute genius!
Great feedback, Cindy and Ryan, thanks. It was great to be able to watch the video simultaneously at TEDx 2017 and at the Pepsi Center in 2023. Thanks so much, Ryan.
The synchronized guitar swing is definitely a choreographed part of the song. I believe they do it at Teatro Metropolitan too. There is also a synchronized head tilt back and forth that Ale and Pau do just after Dany sings "gone"
I first saw the choreographed guitar swing thing decades ago, when KISS used to do it. Does anybody remember that? Since the girls watched soooo many concerts with Mony and Luis when they were kids, maybe they remembered it (or someone reminded them of it), and they decided that it would be fun to do it to amuse themselves and see if anyone picked up on it. Of course, I could be wrong, but it's frickin' awesome either way!
Wow I love how Brian’s brain made us see the TEDx talk performance, it’s amazing how on time they were back then, so much so that you could synchronize the videos and your brain doesn’t know which one is the sound coming from wow
The Warning... one of the Best Bands in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you notice the coordinated guitar sweeps between Ale and Dany while Pau sings, then when Dany sings Pau and Ale have their head bobs. So adorable!❤️🤘⚡️🤘❤️
Ryan ... That little knock-kneed performance by Ale in that TED video is what endears me to that performance. It is exactly what a little girl who can play would do. Awkward cuteness. So I was right there with ya on that. One of two songs that I can't watch live without a call back in my head. The other is "Z". All I can hear now when Ale plays that part right before the lead break is Dany going "Twinini-twinini" when Ale was teaching her how to play that song on bass in that Vlog.
Did you notice that when the lights came up on Enter Sandman you could see them pushing the piano off stage. So after that emotional performance of Breathe, got right back on her drum kit and killed it!!!
Bear in mind that right at the start of this, when its dark, the roadies are wheeling the piano off from Pau's Breathe performance. She has literally just walked off, turned around and straight back to her kit. She's one tough cookie.
I know about that feeling of singing with the artist: I and my late first wife were among the 70,000+ audience at the Freddie Merucry Tribute, where George Michael and Queen performed that brilliant version of Somebody to Love. Still gives me chills every time I hear or see it. 😊
They do the guitar raise thing in the Live at Teatrico as well. Also looking back at their TedX talk performance, Pau now has controlled her drum hitting, and isn’t wildly hitting the drums anymore. But she’s still spunky and aggressive, but now probably saves on losing drumsticks!😅
I was recently watching these young girls appearing live in their hometowns and so many people were there that you could see fear in some of their eyes the youngest was overwhelmed and the others pulled her through she was fine the 2nd day (she had never had the experience of so many fans there to see her and them.) They recently released their Japan version of the very 1st debut Batter Up with addition of 7th member that was on hiatus for her health at the time.
String players at this level may only need a week to have the music, rehearse as a group, come to the show the day of the concert, run through their parts with the music director (they did NOT get a run through with the Warning for this show that we know of), the play it all in front of 8000 adoring fans. These string parts are not technically complicated, but getting the timing and feel correct would have been worked out with someone from TW team. This is pretty common for touring acts to use local musicians. For example, The Temptations are still touring, but do not bring their own horn section. They send the music out to the local talent arranger a month or so in advance, then their Music Director meets with the horns the afternoon of the gig for a run through. Then they play the performance together that evening. I never was much of a Metallica fan, and I was pretty tired of ES before I heard The Warning and Alessia Cara reimagine it. I love this one. It was so great to be there at the Pepsi Center see this live with the strings. Bummer we could not all get together in Atlanta and Nashville. Let's hope the rescheduled dates work out for folks.
Great reaction video. After the raw emotions of Pau's performance of 'Breathe' something more punchy was just what was needed. And this delivered! The string section really gave Enter Sandman a touch of EPIC! It was really fun seeing "What was going on in Ryan's head" during the reaction to Survive. That reaction vid was both the first one Ryan did to The Warning, and the first one of yours I ever watched. Come a long way since then.
Looking forward to this Cindy and Ryan...best version of Enter Sandman I have ever heard and I am a Metallica fan. This was right after Pau did Breathe..can see them pushing the Piano off stage at the beginning of the song. Can't wait for more...there are 23 songs. BTW, the string instruments were Rudy's idea from what I heard...from a local College. Also heard that they had very little rehearsal time with the String orchestra as well. BTW, I am hoping you saw the synchronized hair flips with Ale and Pau and also the synchronized guitar swings from Ale and Dany...there is so much to see in this show....they are amazing. They also did the guitar swings in the Teatro concert as well...well oiled machine right here. Would also love to know what Pau "mouthed" to Dany during the altro when she went up to Pau by the drum kit... The TedX was a nice touch Ryan...😎😎
Best version of Enter Sandman. The string section's director composed the score and they practiced it separately. I believe the sound check in Monterrey was the first time TW played through it with the strings. IDK if they rehearsed it again in Mexico City. Like you said, they are playing off sheet music. The string section is from a university of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey.
Oooohhhh, the orchestra version, bad ass. I still do not understand why Pau doesn't sing that part like she does in the Black list version. And Survive has aged very well. Awesome reaction. Queens of Rock!
Their was a point when Dany and Ale started doing that guitar thing but, Ale and Pau also do a sinchronized head swing in that song. Fun going through this concert.with yous. 🤙⚡️🤘💙
Notice that at the beginning of the ES video they are still pushing the piano offstage. Very little time passed from Pau walking off stage crying her eyes out at the end of Breathe to the Enter Sandman intro starting. I hope they release the backstage video. Maybe when they release the whole show it will be part of the outro at the end.
I consider their version of Enter Sandman to be a TW original, because it sounds like it would have sounded if they, and not Metallica, actually wrote it. And the TedX and Pepsi Center performances side by side was epic, it's crazy how synched it looked, they were ridiculously tight even back then. Survive may not be my favorite TW song by any means, but the ending where Dany goes ham on her guitar, while Pau is pounding away on her kit, the chills are real. And Ale's little bass outro...
Enter Sandman was the next song after Breathe. You can see the roadies pushing the piano off stage on the left just as the lights were coming up. Pau powered through.🤟⚡
The version that has replaced the one with Alessia Cara is the performance at Teatro Metropolitan, basically this without strings. No disrespect, but the song really didn't need an extra singer.
showing the 2 performances side by side was brilliant. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it 💓
It's amazing how perfectly they synch up
Yeah, great move showing us the contents of Ryan's brain! Also, I agree this version of _Enter_ _Sandman_ is the best (and I don't just mean best by The Warning).

It was cool how you synced the Ted Talk and The Pepsi Center performances of Survive. I really appreciated that!
I hoped folks would like that. I smiled a lot putting it together.

Thanks Thomas. I was having fun syncing up the video.

Oh wow. That must have been incredibly powerful 😳
The Warning el mejor grupo de rock del plante y en vivo nadie como TW
"Working Man" is to Rush as "Survive" is to The Warning. No matter where they may go stylistically, THIS is where they started.
Yes
They do the guitar raise thing in the Live at Teatrico as well. Also looking back at their TedX talk performance, Pau now has controlled her drum hitting, and isn’t wildly hitting the drums anymore. But she’s still spunky and aggressive, but now probably saves on losing drumsticks!😅

Ale is like "snake eyes" a silent and deadly Killer!! Viva La Warning 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
So, Pau goes from Breathe to Enter Sandman, where she's encouraged to get some sleep, and decides that she will survive.

If I am not wrong, the string section is part of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Tecnológico de Monterrey.
The arrangements were made by David Garza.
You can see in the video behind Pau where Ale and Dany do the guitar swing a couple of times...they work hard on their choreography.
Oooohhhh, the orchestra version, bad ass. I still do not understand why Pau doesn't sing that part like she does in the Black list version. And Survive has aged very well. Awesome reaction. Queens of Rock!
