It'd be nice. I'm not sure all the legalities at this point, but I'm sure theres an underlying reason they are limited to the UTV classification at the moment. This featured Roxor is on the route of street legalization. The reflash is done, as well as the windshield, wipers, and turn signal. Insurance is the next obstacle (We're based in Texas so we'll see).
Absolutely. We like to use a high flow paint marker for stuff like this to avoid all the taping off and overall mess... plus it's a fraction of the time. We hit any exposed metal along the way.

I'm just curious if they come with a 17 digit VIN that the DMV would recognize? If not I'm not sure how registration would work. Possibly home built or kit car?? These things are way cool! You have probably figured it out by now, but these are sold as Side by Sides. You could only drove it on the road in states that allow side by sides on the road.
The 6 slot grille looks better. But dont ever forget, that Mahindra were the original Jeep Licensees in the Indian Subcontinent. And now, with the Roxor, irrespective of grille and all, they’ve quite literally brought the simplicity of a functional 4x4 vehicle, back to the US...

I seriously doubt this vehicle could ever be designed for American Street use. Emissions, Air Bag safety mandates, Crash worthiness, rollover issues with Suzuki’s and Jeep CJ-5 resulted in massive law suits that shut down any future multi-terrain capable fuel efficient small rigs ever again being allowed on pavement. Small communities in parts of the U.S. allow limited on road use. But here in California, even crossing a paved road to continue on a OHV trail can by letter of the law result in a citation. Such irritating rules, Young new-age environmental protection Police, laws so on is why I sold out any and all to do with burning gasoline in or on public lands. But, this Roxor would be a fun car to travel the forest in...

The Ford GP(governments pigmy) had a nine-slot grill. Willy's were so clever, they have made it a 7-slot, and even registered it for ,jeep'. Mahindra did have a hard job, changing the grill, so it do not look like a jeep. Now you are so clever, as to make it a 6-slot, so it can look like a jeep again.
That's still an ongoing debate with the client. At least for now, he's going to enjoy the contrasting look until he's ready for a change in appearance.
The chaps in America also seem to want to make the Roxor look like a Jeep…just like many new Thar owners in India want to make their Thars look like Jeeps….

So Mahindra had a licensing right to build the old Willys corp Cj2a. Much of the Roxor is based on that vehicle with enhancements brought in from the later Jeep Cj's. The old Cj2a builds had 7 slot grilles, but eventually Willys became Jeep (AMC > Chrysler > FIAT) and over the years, the iconic 7 slot grille received a trademark protection. Issue is that US trademark laws stay in the US. So when you leave the US, laws get washed out and manufacturers will make whatever they want without legal hurdles.

US will never ever see a seven slotted Mahindra even if the design is 100% JEEP.

It looks like the wierd designs daewoo, ssangyong, and hyundai were doing before the koreans figured out what the west liked or disliked visually and stopped trying to create their own signature design language. Something similar was seen in chinese cars. Thats the "oriental" vibe the shitty grill of the roxor gives off.
Good thing its a hole saw where the metal shreds quickly fall to the ground. Usually drills wont sling metal shavings everywhere like a grinder or cutoff wheel, just from my experience
Don’t want to get into a pissing contest here, but a hole saw has a drill as a pilot centre which can easily shatter too. It was drummed into me as an apprentice many moons ago to protect your eyes at all costs! We’re all adults here though so ultimately make our own decisions. Happy New Year!

Jeeps have always been about innovation in off-road and on-road technology. EVERY generation of Jeep vehicles reflects that: CJs, YJs, TJs, Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. I'm sure Roxors are fun to use, and can satisfy a niche market in the US. Thanks to FCA, Jeep will outsell 25 of 42 total brands here in the US. The new Gladiator truck will be unbelievable. Save the money, go for a 2st gen TJ Rubicon, and enjoy a real Jeep
