While I tried the Joan of Arc campaign, William Wallace was the only campaign I was actually able to beat as a kid lol. My knowledge of strategy and tactics at age 10ish was... lacking. Most of my fun with the game came from spawning hordes of unique units in the scenario editor to see which one would win.
@@Jedibob5 This! I realized recently most of my time spent in games was in the sandbox portions and editors, and not the actual game itself! So many endless possibilities, and cheat codes to memorize
This track was great for the labyrinth levels me and my friend were doing in the game editor! Although it was timeconsuming to the point where I start to ask myself- why are we meting with a friend at my house, if all we do is sitting behind computer on our own, making those levels??? LOL That was dumb!
Even though I played WAY after the launch of this game and only being introduced to it by one of my teachers, it still gives me comfort to hear this as I’m trying to grind my way out of that dark age. Great game.
Que all villagers in TC Build 2 houses (build first house with the 2 vills that spawn next to each other to avoid being housed) Put your current 3 and nex 3 vills on sheep (first 6 in total) Put next 4 vills on wood) Send 11th vill to boar (build a house on the way), lure board under TC and you will not have 7 on boar Put next send next vill to berries (build a house, then a mill) Send next vill to build a mining camp next to your gold Send next 2 vills to berries After this build orders tend to change around, but they all start something like this. I reccomend checking out SpiritOfTheLaw if you haven't already.
I still remember buying this game on disc the day it came out, nostalgic. I probably have over 2000 hours on the age of empires franchise as a whole. (Yet to try the definitive edition) 😅
