Former teacher here, albeit in Chicago. 7:30-8:00 start time is typical its largely because of buses. Schools in the same district/area typically stagger their start times because they use the same buses. Also, it's convenient for parents who commute to a traditional 9-5. I am surprised her school doesn't have a before or after school care program!
I’m from South Africa and waking up at 5 or 6 in the morning is such a norm 😂 ALL schools start around 7:30. In university some classes start at 8AM ! Shops also open at 8. I honestly don’t know what I’d do if I lived in the US knowing I had to wait will 9:30 to get my day started 😂💔
I’m 29 too and I think the RUclips shift is due to COVID and the viewers turned into the content creators and it takes longer to establish on RUclips Vs. TikTok. On TikTok all it takes is ONE video to go viral and the money/views comes quickly.
You have to prep everything the night before. Right after dinner, go ahead and set up everything including prepping your coffee or whatever you need. Then put everything you’ll need by your keys in one spot. Same spot every night. Prep her breakfast, put everything on the table, I know she can do it but you can do it faster. Maybe have her set the table for her breakfast on her own. Prep your morning gear, same outerwear so no thinking is involved. This is how your morning will go: Wake up, freshen up, wake up Ziya, tell her to freshen up and put on her outfit for the day, you go downstairs and make your coffee and start loading up the car, she eats her breakfast, make sure y’all look in a mirror one last time before y’all walk out the door. You have to have a system. And I know it’s gonna kill ya but you have to leave at 6:40-6:45am so y’all are not rushing. You don’t want to cause yourselves unnecessary stress.

Have you heard about crash pads? Basically it’s a short term rental for flight attendants that need to fly out of your city. My cousin is in one in Dallas and she said the home owner has a 4 bedroom home with bunk beds in each room. She charges a monthly rent for each bed! You don’t have to be in Dallas but it’s a great idea for short term rentals

My work hours and school prevent me from putting my daughter on the bus and getting her from school. My parents go above and beyond to make sure she is taken care of. Her father is not in her life and it really gets hard when you have to do everything yourself. So can definitely relate to what you have to go through.

Glad to see a new podcast! I know our elementary school offers an after school program that goes until 6pm. We’re in the Dallas so I’m not sure if maybe your school is different but that may be an option.
This may be a hot take but I feel like some of the bigger creators caused RUclips to slowly die. A couple years ago you had big RUclipsrs posting regularly, like 1-3 times a week, which brought people to the platform and made it exciting, so they would end up finding smaller channels to watch too. But since so many creators stopped posting regularly, it’s like 1 video a week or every other week, viewers aren’t excited about the platform anymore

The early morning school schedule is becoming more normal for elementary kids. Our area does it due to bus driver shortages and allowing highschool kids to start school later since they usually have late after school activities. Our elementary, middle, & highschool kids all have differ start times.

We are in the DFW and my daughter is in preK 4 and they start at 7:30 and they a tardy at 7:50. We are usually in like at 7:20/7:25 we thankfully are close to her school.
My daughter's elementary school starts early like that also, and that pick up/drop off line is INSANE! Then like you said, we waking up and it's dark outside! I feel your struggle.....and I'm a night owl. So I'm literally begging myself to go to bed at night! 😂

Different states operate differently. I live in a state where there are a lot of 24hour business so you don’t have to wait at all!

The early morning school schedule is becoming more normal for elementary kids. Our area does it due to bus driver shortages and allowing highschool kids to start school later since they usually have late after school activities. Our elementary, middle, & highschool kids all have differ start times.

Raven with me being in the Dental Hygiene program and having three test a month and quizzes every week for three different classes. I’m tired, a little overwhelmed and that’s where all my attention is going to at the moment. So it definitely resonated with me when you said that your dating life isn’t your top priority. It isn’t mine either and to be honest I don’t know if it ever will be 😅. My main focus is my passing these classes, passing my Boards and getting my dream Career going.

We are in the DFW and my daughter is in preK 4 and they start at 7:30 and they a tardy at 7:50. We are usually in like at 7:20/7:25 we thankfully are close to her school.
My daughter's elementary school starts early like that also, and that pick up/drop off line is INSANE! Then like you said, we waking up and it's dark outside! I feel your struggle.....and I'm a night owl. So I'm literally begging myself to go to bed at night! 😂
