You've made a number of variations of fish pie, and I have to say I respect this version for the health benefits. I loved that you kept the skins on the starches because you don't always do that. I never peel potatoes because of the nutrients under the skin.

To me a proper fish pie is using good quality fresh fish but things like scallops and lobster A. is a waste of expensive delicate fish, and B. Makes it only accessible to those with a big bank account. I realise I'm rambling of course lol. I like this recipe a lot Jamie, especially the addition of that bit of smoked bacon.
you can always try to do what other cooks do.. use what you have in the best way possible.. for example.. buy a hole fish and have cutted* but keep evertithing.. make a fish stock out of what is not meat.. to use instead of water.. and use breadcrums mixed with any.. any chesee for the topping.. it will smel* and taste amazing !!

Would the mash still work with 100% sweet potato? My missus won't eat normal spuds and I love my fish pie, so wondering if it would work on it on or if I need to mix with another less sweet root veg?
