Hello bro how can I get the man phone number plz
I am Howard Carroll, guitarist for the Dixie Hummingbirds. I am 93 years old and played guitar professionally for 70 years. My friends call me the Father of Gospel guitar. I don't know about that, but I was one of the first to bring guitar to gospel music. I am in a nursing home now and can no longer travel, but I want to thank you for taking me to Segou, Mali. I come from a musical family, and we can trace back to the slave holder, Charles Carroll, and his plantation in Maryland. The plantation buried our history alive. Took away our name, took away our language, took away our religion, but they did not take away our spirit or our music. Over a hundred years ago my father played banjo, guitar, mandolin and others. He taught me to play when I was 5 years old. My father had a finger style on the banjo not unlike Mali musicians playing the Mali banjo, the n'goni. I believe our family came from Mali and were musicians. Thank you for taking me home after 300 years away.
You are welcome. Im honored
The Dixie Humminghbirds sound great, listening to some of the music now.
pease do you have a email address brother as I would like to visit Africa
Howard Carroll I believe you. Any African American musically gifted I think they have roots from Mali, Senegal, Nigeria, Gambia
I once heard that Mali is the root of Mississippi Delta blues music
Amazing work brother! Your youtube page has more African history than any African American college in the US! impressive!
Why should black americans teach african history instead of our own? And yet africans dont teach the history of black americans in africa....
@@TreyMessiah95 boi what's wrong with u I can't see u a African hater yet u here watching wtf 😒 😅
This guy was an awesome guide. He is full of valuable information and definitely easy on the eyes as well. :)
If you ever plan to visit Mali I will connect you with him.

Same thing I say. I feel like I am there.
How is it?
@@vwapatriyotla2322 I place myself there emotionally.
@@FromGuiriga understood brother.
Thankyou so much this tour was amazing, hoping to come to Mali soon Insha Allah
Hey Dynast I speak the Malinkè (N'ko or Bambara). The women thought that you was Malian and spoke the language. Your guide told her that you was from America and you didn't understand the language. She couldn't believe that you spoke the language. Who said we weren't the same people. I'm proud of you King
That guide was beautiful!!! I could watch him ALL DAY! Thank you for the video 🙏🏿
Love ur videos man! I’m thankful that u are actually out there gettin the real truth from our people at home. Too many of these fake “Aboriginal, Israelite, and Egyptian” pseudo clowns talkin on cameras givin out nothin but false, misinformation.
Thank u for ur work and please continue as long as the Creator gives u the strength to do so!
Thank you brotha, please share with others
Soul brother you are indeed one of us. Thanks a lot for your time and effort to bring all these videos to us!

Peep what bro said. “Interesting.” You gotta give better Vibes when Africa shows the Diaspora Love.💯
Thank you bro. I lived in Segou for a bit long long time ago. This is very refreshing. I am dying to go back now
You are welcome, I miss Segou
Man, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I must go there.
thank you and please share
Man that's dope you got to meet and speak with the King! The tour guide is cool as fuck too and very knowledgeable, great video!!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you for doing these videos. I have a request though. The next time you're in West Africa can you document the traditional architecture including the interiors if you can? I enjoyed so much you showing a bit inside of the palace.
No problem. I will. Im headed to Benin in January
Search for Uhuru That would be so awesome! Thank you! Can't wait!
searching for your Benin videos also - my friend I mentioned to watch your videos with is from Benin. And agreed : ) very wonderful tour guide there - greetings : )
I understand what you're saying. It's the way he tries to confirm each statement made by the guide with the ok's, the yeah yeahs, the huh huh etc. It's annoying and cuts into the general flow of the guide's conversation. Just shut up and listen and give the viewers a chance to really hear the guide. It's hard to explain but I know what you're saying.
Did you notice the Obelisks on the entrances to the buildings..
Brother Dynst I hope you know how much your work is appreciated. I love Africa so much. And because of your videos I get to see my homeland w/o the lying white propaganda. Thank you brother.
The country of my ancestors on my father´s side MALI. Great Mali.
Amazing video and very informative. Your guide is a very good one full of informations and knowledge! Will be a pleasure to share your video.
Kudos 🙏
Thank you and please share
Outstanding work Brother! I first became aware and intrigued about the Segou Region from the 1972 film Blacula. This was the birthplace of the mythic character Prince Mamuwalde; played and written by the late, great, actor William Marshall.
Love how much knowledge of the history this young man has
I sorta remember the tour guide saying that in some seasons they do a sort of maintenance on their building to waterproof it and such.
I also notice that the people use materials native to their land. And mud being plentiful, they use it maybe also suitable for comfortable living conditions.
Europeans say mud huts offensively but now i see it is use because its feasible to the climate and or easily acquired.
Thank you for your work. The videos are awesome and authentic. Love it! This tour guide though 😍
Mali has the potential for great developments. The international community should take the opportunity in these initiatives
Thank you very much. Great to relax and watch when your not well. What a great guide.
enjoyed it with our people in Mali. 😃
Welcome to my father homeland. The Sacko family resident. It's about time you met someone in Mali that can tell you the real history. Uhuru It is said that a dying old man is a burning library. African proverb. They will not tell you what you need to know just by visiting them. Speak to the young who have the energy and seeking for clout. You have reached now.
I love this series of videos.....Perhaps refrain from interrupting with Okay so much my Father says. He says for me to tell you.
Duly Noted
He is so beautiful. Dynast as well. Writes the lessons in the soil. Love it
Peace, family
Ive noticed and remember how a tree could feed a village but here in north America we go to the grocery store to feed ourselves.
Stark contrast.
Great and informative visit in old Ségou. I visited Mali and Ségou 7 times between 2011 and 2018.
Wonderful tour! Would love to visit one day.
11:13 Coulibaly is a common Bambara language surname in West Africa, especially in Mali, and Ivory Coast.

You are doing a great job and your ancestors will be pleased with you
Islam spread peacefully into west Africa, many members of the royal families, noblemen and merchants converted to Islam. Later there were some more violent jihads like in the 11th century from the Almoravids and of course the later Fulani Jihads which I think he's speaking about when he mentions 1862.
Islam is not a peaceful religion, we were made to believe. I'm from Africa, and None of The Religion is peaceful. The Problem of men is religion. Both Christians and The Muslims enslaved Africans.
Lies
Beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you
That little girl is soooooo... pretty.little AFRICAN PRINCESS.

Amazing work bro! Your videos about Mali and west africa are really a culturally remarkable act, I adore!! Thanks so much! Love from Finland

How you get a Visa to that Country do you have a video of all the visas to the Country’s you went to and the tour guides
you patient and full of energy no way I would walk around there all day cool guide but dam
He was my grandfather, he is one of the Malian Kingdom, king 🤴.
But Gongo Musa and Askia Mohamed came after Sunjata Keita. There were forced conversions in Sunjata Keita's time. That was precisely why Sunjata rose to power to protect the Mande peoples. The Senegales came only in the 18th century. Come on now! Would be nice to have the streets wiped clean. This is a very nice place to keep clean, trim the trees to take out the dead parts, wipe the streets.
great video......
I'm from manding
interesting...Africa is one.
King look tall interesting video
Great video and content. Ibrahim is very handsome also.
hahahaha ill let him know

Theses are supposed to be my people i have descendants of mali ❤❤❤
What is the young brothers name there showing you around the village? He's incredibly well versed on culture . Is he hireable by guide ? If so drop a link to his information please. Thx. 👍🏿🤙🏿
All Praise to the Most High Yah
can i buy land i think in the near future i want to move back to africa
Yes you can
do you have an idea on prices roughly
arround the city you can get it for 700 dollars to build a house and in the villages you can get it for about 250 dolars if you want more info about anything you massage me or ask for my contact
I'm binge watching these in full like Simpsons episodes. Lol. Love it.
I hold my phone like that 42:20 Blacks are Blacks everywhere.
Cool
@ Dynast...You're Dogon, now King Kulibali... Do you want your everybody to bow for you?... Great adventure and journey.
Can you tell me about that tomb?
Who is he? What's his name?
Mali ,good place to visit.
the malian guides are not trained guides. the government should do something about it. as an educated man of mali, I almost lose my mind when I listen to these so called guides of history. A lot of misinformation, misguided facts etc. it is unfortunate
Empire not just Kingdom.
Brother I think you n all this u have captured is awesome. what is the Brother email again plz ?
hey we need make a version off assassin creed in that old African empire MALI i smell some templar there
kader dao get a petition for it
Mali is on Call of duty modern welfare
That is a large village!
You need to start organizing visits.
Question - do you ever get sick from eating the local food? Do you take something to protect your stomach? Great video and yes the guide is handsome !
I ve gotten "the runs" once, but overall I have a cast iron stomach. I can eat anything and everything
You don't need any stomach protection for as long as the food is well prepared and fresh. Maybe you may experience stomach upset to some kind of food just like fresh milk does when long time passes without you taking it because your digestive system isn't used to it. Just like if you consume too much cheese you may experience stomach upsets it is exactly what happens when you eat certain food in Africa.
@@kelvinnaholo8234 I did not get sick in Ghana but I did get sick with a sinus infection when I returned to the US.
I don't quite get why everyone are asking you if you saw something the last time you were there? Why are you revisiting the same places with the same guides? Otherwise really good videos, I mean this guide is much better than the one in Djenna, just as smooth but more knowledgable.
Good Tour Guard. U can du it
thats cool. over to the source of things to learn real history
TheBlackave1 thank you and please share. I want to get the real info out there
Search for Uhuru Will do Brother
Great info! Appreciate it!
What was the name of the black skinned Arab tribe that was teaching Islam that the brother was taking about around the 5:00 minute mark?
Im not sure probably Tuaregs
Yea maybe the Tuareg...thanks.
Olamilekan Adegoke When they say they are "white" from my understanding they are speaking more along the line of their status in society also those who were considered Muslim had something to do with having "white" status or free status...White being at the top irregardless of skin color...someone who is considered black was synonymous with slave or someone who had there heritage stripped away is considered black. Almost like black is synonymous with unknown origin or slave origin this also translates to black being synonymous with criminal. This is why ethnicity and nationality seems to be so important to the world but American "blacks" ignore national origin and ethnicity.
Bahama boy I've read that also, but can't remember the book it was from
النمر الأسود
Either Turaeg or Fulani.
Hey Uhuru, Can I ask for a favour. If possible can you take aerial shots of all the places you visit. So artists can you it to create mods of the ancient civilizations that could be used in animation and movies.
Thanks!
Donate a drone and Ill be more than happy to. Thanks
Afrika must unite🎶🎵🙄😠⛱🌅 red Marl and white Marl common in the Caribbean. 🌅under the Afrikan skies you will see the smiles😎 the empires and kingdoms of Afrika ancestors unwritten rule of laws. Dynast if you can when you visit the villages a bag of rice is helpful for the chiefs because they share it among the village women and children it's never too much. Calabash is in the Caribbean. Such self sustainable tradition🌱thanks!
Are you leaving in Africa now?
I meant *living
Im back in America, but I head back to Africa in two weeks
Keail Simmons
