yea sometimes in the service industry you can get a bit robotic with the services you offer, but yves was humble and didn't seem irritated at all when she said no breakfast. Makes you want to find a way to help him. When people get entitled with me is when I shut down. I don't mind helping people, but catering to entitled people will never be me.
Kino, I'm from Cape Town , born and bred in South Africa (now 70 years old) now living in the UK for the past few years (due to my children and grandchildren being here)and it's really given me so much joy seeing how the majority of African countries and their people have welcomed you with open arms . Africa has its problems (as does the rest of the world) but once in your veins it never leaves...I so miss the African people and their culture but am so privileged to have been born there. So enjoy your South African stay and keep safe...The overwhelming majority are great people...
A big kudos to the lodge owner for recognizing and celebrating your achievement-there truly are some amazing people in this world. I plan to embark on this route in a Land Rover Defender, and I’ll be sure to include his lodge as a stopover. I’ve followed your journey from Kenya and often find myself on edge watching your progress. Thankfully, you’re now so close to reaching Cape Town! I was in Cape Town a few weeks ago for a golf holiday, and it has become one of my favorite destination with Dubai, the Scottish Highlands, and Diani Beach in Kenya.
Wow Namibia, that was my second home, nostalgic moments. I miss you keetmashoop. Though I am far away and back to my country, Kenya. I will always remember the good years I spent in Namibia
I often wonder if the local people, upon meeting Yves and hearing of his adventures, feel some of the same lovely jealousy that I feel every time I watch his videos!! What a wonderful thing!! Thank You, Yves! 👍🏻👍🏻💕

My goodness that lady at the lodge is just amazing ! She's so genuinely interested of your travels and completely amazed by your travel's, that she couldn't just wrap her mind around ! Fantastic material !
Her place looks like a restaurant, tables, chairs ect...but no eggs or sausage 😕...and its called Kitchen 51...but the Lady is so sweet... she laid out a lovely meal for him, how wonderful!! Hospitality at its best!! 👌🏽💕
There is food there for people who sleep over in the accommodation but not for people just passing thru. She said that they closed the food section during Covid and only now provide food for people using the accommodation.
