- 300+MPH with a 2JZ?! Jay Meagher from Real Street Performance is back at the Bonneville salt flats, but this time he strapped the RS1600 2JZ engine in Brad Bosworth's "Valley Fever" streamliner. His goal was to join the elite 300MPH club, he did just that with a best average top speed of 322MPH and reaching top speeds upwards of 330mph! Jay is widely known for his noteworthy accomplishments in tuning, engine building, and drag racing alongside his team at Real Street. This inspiring feat shows Jay's true passion for speed and pursuit of pushing the limits of the 2JZ platform. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Real Street is where it's at.. I remember being at tx2k and seeing dudes there with full race setups in NASCAR trailers n these guys show up with a single car trailer with the green Supra and dominate everything. The day I get a supra the day I contact real Street lol

This is awesome, congrats. The 2JZ has been proven to be one if not the best engine ever developed, which we are still pushing the limits of speed with.
Until a 2j beats mkii Motorsports oe engine GT Brett Lasala oe king of 275s,negative. 300.4mph standing mile and Brett's oe coyote are the kings of oe performance.
interview at the end shows how much racing truly means to people. He held it together but you could feel the emotion welling up. Overwhelmed by success, lovely moment.

That's why everyone needs to go sign the RPM ACT petition because the EPA is trying to do away with all of the normal people from racing the only racing they want to keep around for now is racing like Nascar,NHRA,INDY,F1 and all the people who build cars in their own garage or backyard or wherever they are trying to make them illegal by way of making modifications to any car illegal so put the word out and go sign the RPM ACT petition

Who would've thought a small performance 3.0L engine by Toyota that came out of Japan 30 years ago, would be doing 330+mph 3 decades later... Jay has been pushing the 2JZ platform and its development to new heights more than anyone else. Impressive achievement all-around.

I dont know Jay, But Brad was my Crew Chief on sprint cars fror years. He is an extraordinary fabricator / Builder. Wish you guys could see the Top Fuel Drag Bike he built years ago. Congrats Brad and team. Thanks Jay for getting involved and supplying the engine. I have also been a Toyota Tech for years and glad to see this partnership.

Sending a huge Congratulations to your whole team. Im sure that feeling is absolutely worth it. I've been a 2jz owner since 97 and driven or was the passenger in 200+ cars but this right here was something special. With the biggest part being safety the driver is a madman 😂 That 3rd run had me on the edge of my seat . Everything bolt front the suspension to the top tail end had to be perfect or this wouldn't of been capable. I love stories that lead to someone actually achieving their goal and hope to hear more about it. Smooth run fellas and God bless.
