@@OpenMeUpTec kool kool
how much RAM was on the RAM?
TheLegend1245 I don't know what you trying to say. but if you asking how much ram did mines come with? it came with 8GB. there are 2 ram slots so max you can get is 16GB, 8Gb in each slot
OPEN ME UP when you opened it up and checked the parts did you think the item be worth buying for that amount since its Alienware they are crazy expensive? Also how do you use it to play video games?
it is basically the same as any other computer just smaller. it is really an All In One as it has similar things as one like how it uses a desktop CPU and a laptop Graphic card. So you should look at it like a laptop or an AIO. So think of it like a Dell 2720, iMac, or a Alienware 14 as it will perform somewhere around there.
If you think of buying one then you should get the cheapest one and get your own CPU and Ram outside as that's the only difference it the cheapest one compare to the expensive one.
what socket type?
lga 1150
hey man i have a steam machine but i want an alienware alpha instead. if i bought the low end alpha, could i swap all my high end parts from the SM and put them into the alpha that way i have an I7 instead of I3? i would like to replace EVERY thing from my i7 SM to a i3 Alpha if that is possible i know something is not possible cuz its attached.
so what would i have to do, Keep the i3 alphas Mother Board but swap everthing else?
CPU can be changed, graphic card is solder on, ram 16GB max with 8GB in each slot there is 2 slot, wireless card can be changed, and hard drive is a 2.5 inch which can be changed.
what has the software on it the HDD or should i trade out the Motherboard too, or do u think the MBs are different for the i3 to the i7. i just dont like the linux and SteamOS
You can install windows on it and if you read the last comment i posted the first few words tell you the CPU can be changed. the motherboard is the same. You dont have to take the motherboard out just swap the CPU around
oh okay, im totally new to software so i cant really install windows over it, cuz i heard it will mess everything up, and i dont know how to dual boot with out messing stuff up either,
also i didnt know if the mother boards were diff from the SM and Alpha
But thanks for the info
