First, it is spelled Elliott, not Elliot. Favorite personal moment is the first time I met him. It was the Long Horn Steakhouse on Tara Blvd. in November 1985. I was 5 years old and remember it very well. He signed a 4x6 picture that I still have framed. Favorite on-track memory would be beating Wallace for the Championship in 1988. Running Wallace down and passing him at the Brickyard in 2002 is right up there, too.

1985 Talladega, watching it live on TV. Wins after going 2 laps down, no cautions.

Kevin’s questions are novel and carefully crafted to not only tickle the fandom’s curiosity but more importantly to intrigue the interviewee as to facilitate the the interviewee to reveal themselves in ways they were never before asked to do. Chase’s answer regarding awesome Bill from Dawsonville seemed candid, honest, and sincere. Revealing that father Bill regardless of his championship performances and accomplishments, is not a Hollywood character but rather a person the sum total of his life lived in Georgia. Therefore his relationship with between Bill & son Chase is meaningful, unpretentious, grassroot real, and 100% loving. Interesting interview.

Harvick's 1st win helped to heal the sport in its darkest time, even tho it wasnt a father son deal like Dale Jr and Chase have had.

At a driver autograph session at McDonald's in Dover, Delaware from 93-2000. I would build models of his cup cars with aftermarket decals and have him sign them. For my collection, I have over 20 kits from 81-2003 with several signed by Bill and he remembered me after a couple of years.

Can we stop holding chase to his father's legacy and let him be his own driver. He's great!

I was waiting for a commercial to be inserted every 3 minutes like the race coverage Fox provides.
