      I liked his wins with Sadler in the 19. Didn’t happen enough though. Don’t have one specific moment though.

      He's been doing this kind of stuff for a long time actually. He had a SiriusXM show and he's been in the booth for Xfinity before several times. He said it on the post Martinsville show, he's much happier being in the booth and doesn't miss having people being mad at him 🤣🤣

    This to me the best part of NASCAR and that is the history of the sport!! I'm 53 and was raised in NASCAR because my neighbor was the legend Jr Johnson and as a farm boy I used to be a sweeper and cleaner at the shops to make a few Xtra bucks and I remember all the old stories that was told when I was a young fan and still a die hard NASCAR fan still!! This history that's being told needs to continue to keep the sport alive!!

    I got to watch a cup Race behind the 24 pits back in the earlier 1994 or 1995 in Bristal day race and enjoyed how after Jeff had a wreck that Ray and the Team 24 kept them in the race as Jeff and Rusty were pitted next to each other on the front stretch .

    I think everyone who thinks its real awesome and cool to knock a driver who drives for Hendrick Motor Sports. Must seem to Forget that Alex Bowman is the only driver at Hendrick Motor Sports now with a new Crew Chief, who in the last 2 years has missed a total of 8 points paying races and and the allstar race last year. Yes last year was Alex Bowmans fault but 2022 wasn't his fault he got an concussion from getting into a wreck at Texas Motor Speedway race in the fall. Before that when he came to Hendrick Motor Sports and started driving for them in 2018. Yes he didn't win a race but he did make the chase. Then in 2019 he run a race and made the chase and 2020 he won a race and made the chase. Then in 2021 he won 4 races and made the chase and 2022 he won again making that 7 races won in 4 years. And all of those were with crew chief Greg Ives on the box. Yes after his win in 2022 he had a slump in performance. But when the chase time came in 2022 his performance got better and he was running more consistently and getting the top 5 and top 10 finishes he needed before he got hurt at in the wreck at Texas Motor Speedway. He also every time he has made the chase has never finished less than the round of 12 before being eliminated. He even made it to the round of 8 in 2020. Then take last year at this point I believe he was still leading the points and had 7 top 10 finishes out of the first 10 races of season. season

    They had the 24 car sooo cheated up once…they told Jeff on the radio to slow down… he was like 1.5 seconds ahead of the field.

    • @christianmeek2542
      @christianmeek2542 9 месяцев назад

      That was the T-Rex car. It technically wasn't "cheated" they just inverted the shocks and had some unusual set up specs. It was the All-Star race which is not a points race. NASCAR did tell them to never bring that car back to the track...

    If Jeff would have driven Indy Cars , his image would be on mt Rushmore - He would have been the most popular driver ever - and nascar wouldnt have a bunch of Gordon clones - that's the main issue with nascar - the drivers

    Rays head got soo big he thought he was winning races and not Jeff Gordons talent. if he didnt walk he would have maybe won 7 cups. A career is not long enough to win 8 so far but 7 is possible and you dont need 5 in a row like JJ.
