    The last song of the Rev...

  • @baynard3461
    @baynard3461 9 лет назад +14

    Such a powerful song, the way the song is really energetic and then throught the song gets slower and quieter until it hits the very end and the song basically fades to nothing. R.I.P The Rev. You're a fucking beast.

    When we come out at night,at 4:00AM,we can’t grasp that we won’t see you tonight.We only hope it’s a nightmare.You are in your own little piece of heaven with the strength of the world,unbound from ours.It feels like Dear God has betrayed us,as if God hates us.But we were blinded in chains as he took you,not understanding that you were too good,perfect for THIS world.You seized the day,fought through the trashed and scattered,but never turned the other way.

    Hey man, great tutorial. I was suggested by a friend of mine to learn this song, and yours is looking to be really helpful. I do have one, teeny suggestion, don't be afraid to talk in tutorials. As long as it's helpful and you don't ramble, a little note speak-age or vocal rendition is welcome.

    How do you keep your left hand going on the triplets and keep your right hand doing its thing? I'm half self-taught/half had a few lessons, and my left hand and right hand refuse to work independently of each other in the beginning of this song. Any tips?

      Very late reply also, maybe try playing a few notes on a guitar to help make your hands work independently? I used to play guitar and I think this is why I didn’t have the same issue as you?

    • @weirdVampiress
      @weirdVampiress 3 года назад +1

      I like to write down the notes on sheet music and will practice once measure at a time. Go super duper slow until it feels good on your hands and then gradually increase your speed. I've only learned the intro and it took me years to get comfortable with it.

    Being a drummer actually helps you. You already have the dexterity and multitasking ability needed. It could take you anywhere from two days to three weeks, depending on how much you practice. I recommend taking an Aderol or Vyvanze, and taking it out in two days.

    maybe make a separate video of just the bridge slowed down rather then doing the whole thing over.

    I really dont mean to be judgemental, so please take this as advise, you know, to help out, the verses are a chord with the c and g notes on the bass cleft on the left hand, wait a measure, then the right hand comes in (treble cleft) and plays ccdega in a pattern of c=3 eith notes, then d=1 eighth note, e=1 eith note, g=quarter not, a=quarter note length....at least, i think thats right, thanks for the video though, it helped with the rest.

I have the drums down. the brief guitar chords are easy. the vocals and harmonies are very doable except of course the Rev's backups on the "let it burn part" bastard! I can hit the note but it's like I have to get a running start up to the mic to hit it. question though..is there any bass guitar because I don't really hear anything except possibly during the guitar: "not that I
