Arabesque, a short piece for piano, is part of the 25 Easy and Progressive Studies collection by Friedrich Burgmüller.
The composition follows a ternary form ABA, where each section is repeated once.
The piece starts in the key of A minor with the main theme. Then it modulates to the key of C major, which is the relative major of A minor. After that, the middle section brings back the key of A minor, and it ends with a half cadence in main tonality. Finally, in the last section, the main theme is repeated, bringing the piece to an end in the main tonality.
