wow. using a throttlebody in opposite acuation, to act as a BOV on a othetwise simple system, wow. brilliant engineering guys.. im going to be doing a m60 heads on a m62 (non vanos) shortblock. keep the double roller chain from the m60. i think adding a m112 is a good idea. and might use this BOV concept. just looks a little laggy for a bmw..
Noah Sharif I have the same engine you describe built up in an E34. The 4.0 heads on the 4.4 raise the compression ratio. The camshafts are slightly larger in the 4.0 heads, & the timming chain and gears all swap onto the 4.4 eliminating the problematic timming chain guides the later engine has. 7 years of merciless beatings, 9000 rpm (no rev limiter). Very surprised with this engine.
