Her baby's looking about the age they go their own way! Marsha might stop mothering them soon, but who knows.. You might see them again, she did teach them her food trick after all! The shrill beeping the young one does is their food begging sound. Sometimes you even catch adult gulls doing it to humans, their language is quite developed.
Thank you for showing such kindness to these birds, Marsha really trusts you to the point she brought her whole family to your home that is beautiful. I wish more people where this kind to seagulls your videos really warm my heart x I hope you have many generations of herring gulls visiting you (=
@albert fish Really brave of you standing up to a bird! I can see you think you're really edgy from your handle. Gulls are protected by law, you hurt one and I hope you get a court appearance and a nice big fine.
@@cleoldbagtraallsorts3380 He's not 'edgy' imo he's a troll just trying to get a rise from folk. I mean look at who he's called himself after. Real nice...
That is really lovely to watch, it's nice that some people help them and feed them they dont have an easy life really. They get lots of negative publicity but they are just trying to survive.
What you say is sadly true Michael is quiet and not screaming and Marsha is likewise .So many scream and flap their arms at gulls ( indeed many birds ) They are the negative public ..How much beauty they miss ..
@@HelenaMikas How true, they have so much to offer in understanding and kindness if given the chance. The human race in itself could learn so much from all creatures if it just made a little time for them.
I don't know if anybody can help me, but advise are welcomed. I noticed a Silver seagull about three months ago with a big piece of plastic around one leg, and I decided to try to make it tame enough so I could get it and cut the plastic off. So I started to throw food on the ground every time I saw it on my daily walks with my dog. And it really did get closer and closer. Unfortunately app. 90 other seagulls found out about the food, so now I'm feeding what feels like every seagull in the harbour at the beach every morning. Plastic (yes I named the seagull Plastic) sits and wait for me most mornings on a roof close by. And most days it follows me home from the morning walk on the beach. Strangely enough two other seagulls follow me tome two, both of them with an injuried leg, so it's quite a seagull hospital around here. Plastic's leg is now just hanging, totally died because of the plastic now being so tight around the leg :-( When I go into the garden, it often comes by - like it's keeping an eye on me. But otherwise there has been no improvement regarding coming any closer to me. A couple of hours ago I saw it, and went out with food. And for the very first time I heard it make a sound, so I thought I would learn a bit about seagull talk. I guess it kind of said hallo to me, from what I can read/hear on different videos here on youtube?! But I am wondering if I should stop ann call it quits? I will keep feeding it (and the other two one-legged seagulls), as it is the only way I can help. Thank you kindly for your time :-)
I have a herring gull which started tapping on my patio door window a couple of weeks ago. I call her Sally but I am not too sure of her sex.She now comes very tentatively just inside the door if it is open but won’t feed from my hand yet.She likes cheese, chicken and ham. Her visits are becoming more frequent every day and she taps very loudly if there is no food outside. My cockatiel is terrified at her size and squawks loudly when she sees her.

Herring gulls have such beautiful eyes
Breeding season has been very fruitful for the herring gulls this year! Marsha's baby seems to be only a few weeks old. What a cutie!
Marsha has two babies. Perhaps I need to make another video.
Hey Google can you see girl
I had you as a Substitute teacher a few times back in the day, glad to see you're doing well and have another seagull companion
Thank you for comment. MT
