The word Qanun "قانون" does not exist in Classical Quranic Arabic at all. If I recall correctly it's a loan word from Greek that is in Modern Standard Arabic not in 7th century Classical Arabic vocabulary. So, this is a non-argument from the start. The words (verbs) "Yuhell" and "Yuharrem" "يحل" "يحرم" are there in the Quran throughout in regards to various different situations and laws, food, marriage, financial transactions. And always with the meaning "Makes lawful" "Makes unlawful".
