    I get up and pee around 4-5 times a night. My pee is very light to clear. I eat mainly raw plant based and some cooked vegan Whole Foods such as mushrooms and quinoa etc. The reason I pee is because I drink and eat a lot of water through the day. So it’s not always due to an unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes it’s simply due to a lot of water consumption.

    I am 50 i use to wake up alot at night to pee & pee alot in the day as i drank 8 glasses of water daily even when my cut off was 4pm.
    I came across a short here i think it was yours and it said water goes through our body and we need to add to our water like coconut water, cucumbers....
    Since i have stared adding lemon,lime, cucumber or coconut water i can no longer drink 8 glases of water as my belly feels full. Now I do not go bathroom until i wake at 4am which so happens to be the time i wake to start my day. Even my daily pees are reduced & my bedtime is 8pm . Drinking less water i dont feel dehydrated. I also no longer feel latargic.

    I’m not a doctor but I have been plant based for over 12 years. If you’re consuming table salt or high sodium foods and consume a lot of water, it’s going to run straight through you. I ditched the table salt and replaced it with Pink Himalayan Salt which has a ton of minerals that helps pull water inside the cells for optimum hydration. Instead of drinking a lot of water at a time, spread it out. I even add a little Pink H to my water before I drink it. No more waking up to pee at night and the leg and foot cramps are gone. Lastly, bananas are the devil! Stay away from high-glycemic foods. I love this format. We are all here to get better. God bless!!

    Great info. I’d also like to add that frequent trips to the restroom at night is also a major symptom of sleep apnea. Approximately 80% of sleep apnea cases are undiagnosed and the many symptoms of sleep apnea tend to hide in plain sight. Many of the patients that I see complain of frequent trips to the restroom and are often put on over active bladder medications before getting referred for a sleep test. If the patient is diabetic or has prostate issues, this symptom is often attributed to those existing conditions. If you’ve done everything the doctor has said and still find yourself having to use the restroom 2 or more times during the night, I’d suggest getting tested for sleep apnea. Symptoms include frequent nocturia, dry mouth, morning headaches often accompanied by neck pain, brain fog, high morning blood sugar (even after fasting all night), excessive daytime sleepiness and more. Associated diagnoses include: diabetes (or pre diabetes), acid reflux, migraines, AFib, anxiety, depression, hypertension that’s often resistant to medication. If this sounds like you, get checked ❤

    This is great info. One thing that wasn't covered is low estrogen levels in post menopausal women that can cause frequent urination or incontinence. I get up once every night to go even though I eat a raw high fruit diet and cut my liquid intake out between 3-4pm. Low estrogen can cause urinary symptoms. For those that can't or don't want to take hormone replacement therapy, is there a solution to that, when you're doing everything else correctly?

    • @gapeach7814

      Fruit is carbs & contain lots of natural sugars so it could be the fruits. It's really best to eat more veggies than fruit. If you eat for they need to be low sugar such as berries. Hope this helps somewhat.

    • @quietstormaps
      @quietstormaps Год назад +2

      @@gapeach7814 I know your response is coming from a good place! Are you post menopause? My question was that with a lot of post menopausal women, regardless of diet, it can cause bladder shrinkage and urinary issues due to lack of estrogen and can that can be a factor with frequent urination. My diet currently makes me feel absolutely great and getting up once during the night is not a deal breaker for me, but there are women that constantly get up during the night and it's has everything to do with loss of estrogen, which will happen to all women during that time. Thanks for your reponse.
