maybe finish off the cone to mimic how the chrome attachment points are shaped. extending them over the roof attachments so they are longer and a smoother taper. possibly the under side still attaching to them
@searchandsave142 it's winter and i wanted to play with my car. It's not a permanent fixture. Be sure to check back I'm going to do more on it each week. Other than wondering why, do you have any suggestions?
Why would you put those humps there??? They were originally used to aid aerodynamics and coincide with just aeroscreens and not a big windshield. In this context they just look dumb as they have no use whatsoever.
@clivewilliams3661 well, first of all, I thought it would be a fun project. I had never intended to race the car, but most of the cars that have them today are just aesthetic. Also, I had taken the car out to a few car shows recently, and as nice as the car is, I felt it looked a bit "white toast". This project will give it that edge to make it stand out a bit. I am designing it to fit in the trunk when not in use, and easily install with no tools. I am no purist. The car is a 77 w Chrome bumpers, and tail lights from a '69. Thanks for your comments though. I like interacting with others who appreciate MGBs. What year is yours?
Great project like you say there are so many MGBs that it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd and this is just a bit of fun. 👍
