Great job, Rachel! It looks amazing! Love your artwork, too. My husband and I started a year and a half ago and just love doing this art form. Happy glass crafting!
Absolutely LOVE this! I am taking my first class this summer and I can't wait to get started on my journey. I hope to be where you are one day! You are inspiring and I just love watching your videos.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I la la la la love this for you!!! You KNOW I have been begging for a shed...welp, that didn't happen, however..... I moved to my basement!!! I redid the whole space and now I am no longer in my dining room and have a whole space for just me and my glass!!!! (so what if I just threw up shower curtains for a couple walls...lol..pretty tapestries will be coming soon! BUT Sad note, I literally haven't made anything in months!! I did find a pretty nice haul on marketplace and was gifted a pretty neat Stained glass tool!! Also wanted to add to this book of a comment I LOVE your last cottagecore drop!! Stunner!! Anyways Congrats on this!! The fruits of the labor are beautiful!! AND we needs you back full time!! The SG community is so nakie without you.
I wish I had more videos but life has gotten very busy for me in the last two years - I have a 6 month old baby so my focus has shifted. I would love to make more content but the time and attention I used to put into stained glass mostly goes into child care now :)
Would you say that someone could make enough money as a stained glass artist to live? I’ve been a painter for 20 yrs and I desperately want to do this instead. I’ve been doing my research and computing numbers but it’s hard to say, so I wanted to ask an artist’s opinion on it in real life.
Honestly, it's really hit or miss. The market has been absolutely flooded with stained glass artists in the last 3 years so there's a lot of competition now. If you're extremely good with marketing and self promotion (as with any art form) you have a better chance. Currently cost of materials makes it hard since I've seen material prices over double, sometimes triple. If you have a way to find a niche, that will give you a better chance. I also know that, from my own personal loose data collection, I've seen many glass artists have a drop in as of the last year. I occasionally check about 10 different big artists and notice those who used to sell out still have stock available, despite no change in their pricing. I hope that helps 😅
Come back! Make more videos! I love watching your videos, especially your perfect soldering.

How big is the actual shed? I’m in the process of doing the same thing. Thanks❤

What’s the dimensions on your place? It looks great by the way! ❤

Yes! Its the ikea Kallax
I live in a small town with no way to get glass without driving two hours. What should I do?
