The Otumfuo to the annoyance of the Bono people in this modern era, crosses his regional borders continue to influence, destabilise chieftaincies in the Bono Bono East regions, sure he’s rich. The Bonos and Bono youths are not taking it any more. A new chieftaincy reform; no chief or king should exercise power beyond his regional borders and no chief serve a stool beyond his regional boundaries. This will limit chieftaincy disputes. But the president has to be strong like Nkrumah for the sake of peace.

Nkrumah divided it into Ahafo which is 99% Asante and Bono which is over 1/3 Asante for administrative purposes only. Before Ghana came into being, there were no regional divisions, rather each group lived on land that was theirs and that is true today regardless of the regional division they find themselves in... That is why you find Wowora who are Asantes in the Oti region and a mix of different groups in the eastern and Central regions. What you are suggesting for our new wise president to do will rather lead to chaos. Will you readily give up a piece of land you've owned for generations because of a name change in the area it is in? Would you want a president telling you, you can no longer set foot on that land because of a name change? I doubt you or anybody would. Please, let's us educate ourselves with the facts.
