    I did this last week. I've got a '21 TR and the new SX (my park bike). I think I definitely prefer the shorter chainstays. The SX would be perfect if I was racing Enduro but I prefer jibbing in the park. I'm still messing with the shock to get it dialed in with the new setup cause it did change quite a bit. One thing I found: the TR clevis is 3mm longer than the SX clevis set to Low. I measured it last night. I'd bet it's equal to the SX in high but I didn't measure that yet. If that info's coming from their website they also say the SX rocker is the same part on the TR and it's obviously not true. Thanks for the idea!

      Thank you for the info! can you confirm about the clevis length? I'm thinking to do the same on my TR but at the momment this new clevis with flip chip isn't available, can i do this conversion to 230 rear shock + 27.5 rear wheel only with the SX rocker?

      Thanks for the info. I was looking at their part numbers while gathering that info. I did notice some slight differences in geo with the 21 tr Clevis vs the sx Clevis I received as well. I think geo works out best when the sx Clevis and rocker are used together.

      What you are looking at is the Meta SX and TR 29.3 clevis and rocker. These are the same. The 29.2 (2021 model) uses a slightly different rocker and clevis. If you have the current model TR29.3 (2022 onward) you don't need these parts.

    Can you provide some more details on what you've done to achieve this and what the specs are how?
    - is the shock still the same stroke or are you using a longer shock stroke than stock?
    - how much travel do you get out of the rear wheel how?
    - what does the leverage curve look like? Closer to the TR or SX curve?
    - did you consider using the WRP linkage with a longer stroke shock to gain more travel?
    It's a great conversion but I'm a tech nerd so I'd love to know the nitty gritty on it.
    I have a WRP link mulleted AM 29 2021 and I love it. The mullet is near perfect for me.

    • @davidspidle1985
      @davidspidle1985  2 года назад +2

      The shock is a 230x65 and the leverage ratio now as a best guess taking into account the linkage has been changed to the sx would be around a 2.56 average.
      Since I used the longer stroke than the 62.5 that they use on the sx I should be closer to a 166 travel in the rear. So I may actually bump the fork up to a 180mm in the future.
      This bike was my first purchase going from bmx to MTB so I went conservative with the tr but this travel range and the mullet set up fits my riding style best also.
