If you have any questions about my component choice on this build feel free to drop a comment below!👇🏼Thanks for watching! Stoked to release some content ripping this bike over the next few weeks 💯
Do you have a link to the upper headset parts used? Commencal site says Acros ZS56 but there are numerous parts under that name on the Acros website. Thanks!
Here is the link to a run down on my toolbox: ruclips.net/video/mOQouWa9A1U/видео.html 👊🏼 As far as a 'how to', I am hoping to do that in the next few months! Thanks for the suggestion!
I have a short travel bike, a new canyon neuron AL 7, and I've been thinking about swiping it for a longer travel bike for most technical terrains in my zone, your videos helped me to reconsider that, very impressive what you can do with a short travel bike, cheers!
My bike is fairly similar to yours. All raceface era parts but went with a 130mm Fox 34 and am in between a float X and a float dps shock. Dissector/forecaster tires and ride mine at the park all the time! I live the low top tube and geo. So playful!
It is probably the jaded ex mechanic in me lol but I just flat out avoid internal cable routing through the headset as I have lost so much time and torn my hair out with some designs! But I do admit it does look clean! And it is nice that you can actually run whatever stem you like too!
Curious to see if down the line you try 150 upfront (Z1 maybe?) and the piggyback in the rear. Hope the thing rips and excited for updates in the future!
Did you do a custom tune on this shock for this frame? I'm looking at a TEMPO and I'm scheming on options for a frame-up build with most of my existing parts vs. getting a complete bike with everything as-intended from the factory. I'm looking forward to your opinion/review on it!
No custom tune as of now! The Bomber Inline that was installed in this video just came out and was sent out last minute for this build, so custom tune wasn't an option but that may be something I do in the future 🤙🏼 Frame up builds are always fun, but some of the build kits offered by Commencal look really nice, tough choice! Thanks for watching!
Wow was not expecting you to ride a 140mm. What is the max. travel on this Commencal TEMPO? Could you change the suspension for much higher? I was considering Commencal but for DH. I am looking for a larger travel enduro bike. Either YT or Propain. I have a Giant X Trance 2 / 2021 with RS Pike Select 150mm and bought an debonair upgrade kit of 160mm...Where I live in Mexico its mostly rocky and steep terrain. DH would be great but pointless since there is a lot of climbing involved. The TEMPO I would love but with more travel. Seems like a fun freeride bike that can climb and rip. Well done. I am always impressed how you explain things and your knowledge of MTB. I am a rookie when it comes to working on my bike.
The max fork tavel is 150mm from my understanding! I am considering trying that in the future, but for now I am running the bike at 140mm with a 34mm fork. Glad you are enjoying the content, I hope it is able to help you out! Thanks for watching!
It is a product called ‘mastic tape’ by 3m, it is a thin rubber tape that dampens the noise created by the fins hitting the caliper down the trail 👊🏼 As in the video, I place thin strips on the caliper right where where the fins come in contact with the caliper. Hope this helps!
Commencal Tempo vs Canyon Spectral 125 vs Transition smuggler. What are your thoughts? Spectral seems by far the most bang for your buck, but maybe these other two brands have something that Canyon doesn’t
All of those bikes seem awesome, and I would personally be stoked on any of them. To be honest, I actually looked into building each one and the difference for me was the frame only option with Commencal being the fastest and cheapest for me to get. Hope this helps!
One question, in the large size it has 470 reach, it would be "out" of your "ideal" measurement, can you explain why you choose L, just curious, thank you!
Nice attention to detail! The options were: medium at 450mm or large at 470mm. Given that it is a short travel bike, I wanted to get the wheelbase on the longer side to increase the stability and capability of the bike. In attention to the 470mm reach making the wheelbase longer than the size medium, the size large also got a longer chainstay which was very interesting to me. So overall, getting comfortable on the longer reach bike seemed worth it for me, for the performance enhancements that the wheelbase would bring me. After two days on the Tempo, with a 40mm stem, 40mm rise bar, and a fair bit of stack height it is feeling very comfortable and I am happy with my choice 🤘I will discuss this in further detail in my Tempo bike check in a few weeks time also ✌
Very capable bike but quite different from the Tempo. Top fuel more XC/DC , great on longer rides but less stable on steep chunk. If you’re not testing the limits downhill and also still learning it will serve you well
HELLO PAL IVE JUST CHANGED MY BIKE ORDER FROM THE TOP FUEL 7 TO THE ORBEA OCCAM H20. Can you tell me if this is a better option please? Id be extremely grateful

You are really going to enjoy that bike, had it for 5 months now and it has to be the best trail bike i’ve ever got ! Enjoy ;)
Glad are enjoying it! I only have one day of riding on it so far and it feels great 💯

Nice video, your hard work is paying off, congrates. One of my favorite climbs is across the street, the old railroad grade up to the top 😊
Thanks Doug! Sounds like a rad climb 👊🏼

im thinking getting one of these really waiting on that review❤
Won't be a proper review, but I will share my bike setup in a few weeks time 🤙🏼
Also love your honesty with how long the build took 🤣
😂 Building and filming at the same time is quite the difficult task 😭

Awesome content!

Looks like you were ripping it during the opening ride scene. I am a bit jealous of your living in winter park.
It’s a rad spot to hang out for sure! Thanks for watching!
I love ur trestle vids. Are you making another short film this year as well?
Hopefully! Glad you enjoy them!
Curious to see how you like the rail damper in the bomber!
So far so good!
Drool for them tools 😮 Great edit, sweet bike. What's not to like?
Something about a good set of tools that makes working on bikes that much more fun 🤘
just when i thought my 150mm jeffsy wasnt enough travel. peter makes me realize its enough :)

Hey Peter, what is that green lube you are using? Looks simular to what Shimano prepacks on their products.
It is Shimano grease, good eye!

@@PeterJamison btw when will the video coming out of you testing the bike
Sorry just getting to this now, I just put out a video ripping the Tempo at Trestle Bike Park 🤘🏼
Would really like to know how you like the internal routing after awhile now. Is it worth it? My Meta V5 will be here next week.
Big picture, the headset routing is not superior to traditional internal cable routing, but I don't feel it is a deal breaker as some people do 🤙🏼
How does the masking tape work does it go under the pad?
It is a product called ‘mastic tape’ by 3m, it is a thin rubber tape that dampens the noise created by the fins hitting the caliper down the trail 👊🏼 As in the video, I place thin strips on the caliper right where where the fins come in contact with the caliper. Hope this helps!

hey, i was just wondering if you lived up in winter park cause im not far away and love riding there. maybe we could ride together lol
Just here for a quick trip! Seems like a rad place to live though!
This is my first time seeing this system of internal cabling. By the way, what's your height?
5’ 11” 🤙🏻
Nice build, but why not use wireless Sram?
No Sram components as I am sponsored by Shimano 🤙
@@PeterJamison gotcha. Hopefully Shimano comes out with a similar system.
Would be rad no question 🤘🏼
M8100 or m8120 cranks? Currently speccing my tempo and was wondering which Q factor

Any headset routing frame is a nogo. We don't need roadbike's bullshit for mtb's.
Not ideal for sure, but honestly hasn't presented any issues to me ✌🏼
