I think you are right. I think that somewhere deep inside, he did not want to go through with it and the traffic stop was all it took to confess to what he was going to do. Anyhow this woman sends a hit man for my mom, but he calls my mom to check what kind of woman she is and my mom no matter how younger than her calls them son or daughter and talks respectfully so he himself tells her he was hired to kill her but he's not going to do as my mom doesn't seem like a woman that other woman described. That was crazy.
