If they raise the price of GamePass, they will be entering the same pitfall that Netflix entered where they said that they raised their prices by 40% and lost 20% of their subscribers then it’s a win. It’s that kind of attitude that they are all taking and it will kill the service. In my opinion, raising the price even a couple of dollars was a mistake, and if they raise it more, they will be driving a nail into their coffin. I could be wrong, but we will see.
Netflix lost subscriptions because they raised the price AND their content at that time was really bad, they didnt add any value to their tiers. On the other hand, GP value will be crazy with the addition of ABK games, all previous CODs and the new COD Day one.

I quit Netflix when they kept raising their price for membership and I will quit Microsoft if they increase again. I have my limits and though there are lots of people who are willing to pay whatever is thrown at them I am not one of them.

That is fair,but Cod is an extremely popular money machine so you'd have to imagine they'd be losing money adding them to gamepass. "Corpo has enough money"so while that's true,that doesn't mean a profit loss is acceptable.

That's alot of lost money if you really think about it. So I won't say I hope they raise it more because I really don't but the reality is cod is super profitable and they're more than likely gonna up the price because of them.

Yeah man, I got rid of my XbSx several weeks ago. There's just too much shovelware on the gamespass, not enough exclusive bangers. May as well just buy stand alone games for just the PlayStation 5 and get everything else that comes with that.

I hope they keep the game pass ultimate price the same because its already hard enough earning microsoft rewards points to get ultimate each month. And if its going to $40 a month, no one’s gonna get it. 🤷♀️ they’re just gonna lose money out on it.
$16.99 is already expensive enough from its original $14.99 a couple years ago. Its enough with the price of it going up. They might as well make a new tier of game pass and make that the $40 a month.
Instead of getting ultimate a majority of the base will probably just go to the core version or abandon ship.
@@casualmikais and I don’t want to go down to core because there’s many things I use that are on ultimate that aren’t on core. Especially the prices that are cheaper on things, free games to play on game pass, and the perks.

Never really cared if call of duty got added to game pass or not. Don’t really think we need it on Game Pass pretty much everybody that plays call of duty purchases it in the first place and that’s how it should be. It’s a game that pretty much all the time so if you don’t purchase it, it’s kind of silly.
You know those parents who never let their kids get dirty or even touch stuff that hasn't been disinfected beforehand?
Yeah, those kids end up plagued by allergies for years when they become adults cause they never built any resistances.
We are essentially doing the same to kids today by "sanitizing" everything that might hurt their feelings or offend their sensibilities.
And so they grow as people that can't deal with criticism at all cause they consider anything besides positive reinforcement as cruel and unusual treatment.
They should bring keyboard and mouse support for all games i still don't understand why xbox not doing this

The transparency conduct stuff has killed Xbox party chat and Game chat. No one wants to speak to strangers because they are afraid they will get banned. I don't like racist, sexist of harmful comments that aren't jokes but I also realise that if I am engaging with strangers that is a risk I have to accept. It is a part of life, you cannot regulate it.

Xbox just had a sale hell blade one was on sale for 2.99 … definitely grabbed it. The game wasn’t on my radar before and I’ve been play with headphones. Great game.

Thinking you own someone else’s piece of software ever is hilarious. Games are not physical, they are not hardware . It’s literally just a disc that is physical. A disc can be revoked too😂😂😂 just go digital guys. Nothing you can do, and it’s not all that bad.

Having a physical disc for a game makes no difference. The issue you are illuding to is that Games (physical or not) that rely on online servers to function die when those servers are no longer in service. the industry needs to agree on a way to extend the life of those types of games, either a 3rd party service or allowing gamers to host their own servers. Game Preservation is a big problem right now, and will only get worse.

I've been with xbox live since day one, and I've already been considering dropping it as of late. If they raise the price again I'll probably just drop it all together. Microsoft has made an agreement with the FTC, that the ABK acquisition would not increase the price of game pass. Secondly, their agreement with Sony allows Sonybthe same privileges as Microsoft in terms of CoD. So if Sony wanted to, they could bring it day one to PS Plus. This is all public record if anyone want to look them up

@dahashbrowns6917 no, they finalized the deal with ABK in OCT 23, but there are still filings going on with the FTC in regards to the deal even into 2024
