Great video/footage! There are alot more (hidden gem) guitar stores around in Osaka/Tokyo & in Nagoya, hopefully you can check them out next time you are in Japan (happy to show you around!) Cheers
@@russellzauner - The model in Twinkle Pink but with maple/rosewood neck are everywhere but The cat paw inlay one is the Pink Monster (I think🙂?) . Very Expensive guitars! Cheers
Japan is so on my bucket list. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan and the music in those games is outstanding, and there is a cafe over there based on one of the games that I would love to check out! I also used to listen to a ton of Japanese rock and metal in college. They make some great music (and instruments!) over there; love my Japanese Fender Final Fantasy XIV Strat :D Awesome vlog as always guys! Keep up the great work, hope to buy from you this year!
The internet is constantly trying to sell me the completely red (including fingerboard) L'Arc-en-Ciel Fernandes and one of these years I am just going to end up getting it even though I've never played or had a Fernandez electric.
Look for Starfield - you'll be able to see what would become J Custom lines as well as early design notes for the Talman line (I have two Altair SJ Customs and a Cabriolet SJ Limited) and you'd just have to pick one up to understand, I can't really explain it). Side note: I'd love to find some of the Starfield Cabriolet basses with the lipstick pickups; Starfield also had several models of guitars with lipstick pickups (another nod to what would become the Talman line). Fender Prophecy II and III basses were MIJ with a similar headstock as Heartfield basses (a joint effort between Fender and Fujigen) - some of the Heartfield reverse blackburst finishes are killer, even the backs of the necks are bursted and they also have graphite necks. I've never seen another bass with the AANJ heel except the Prophecy; it simply cradles in your hand as if there were J Custom tier basses. I've got a Prophecy II in antique burst and it's amazing playing, looking, and sounding. Obscure to most people, nobody would know what they are - but if you want custom shop level goods for player prices, those are a few. You know, since you're in the neighborhood...it would be interesting to see what parts one could source from the factories in places like Nagano and Hamamatsu.
Looks like so much fun, that Burny Flying V is incredible, so unique and I love that cat inlay, wonder if it was a signature model. I can't wait to visit Japan, I was supposed to got May 2020, hopefully my bank account can survive all the guitar shops I'd visit!
Ebay is loaded with guitars from Japan now good deals to it seems but very hard to find info on duty and fees to buyers in states . I need to look at your shop site duh! for guitars thanks
Ikebe… “eee-kay-bay”… had fun watching your videos. Gibli museum is down the street from where I live in Mitaka a suburb of Tokyo. I’ve been living in Tokyo for ten years now, do you think there is a market on starting a guitar export company selling strictly guitars from Japan on the internet from Japan. I run across so much cool stuff on a daily basis on my travels throughout Tokyo during the week I’ve always wanted to share the wealth but I also know a lot of shops do ship internationally and always wondered if there was a market and profit to be made. I noticed you are also purchasing tax free, that must be huge when reselling back in the states. Video arigato.!
I love the Japan trips. Thanks for bringing us along.

Find him one of the Ohmura Snappers, they've got cat's paw inlays lol

For sure! There's never enough time so just have to go back!
Thanks for a year of amazing videos. I’m really excited to see where you guys go next year! Come to the UK!
We'll see what happens!
This was such a fun one! This was the beginning of my recent Sherwood Green Fender hunt
You should look up Fuller’s Guitar in Houston TX. I was just there and they expanded their Fender section. I remember a Sherwood green Strat there

Kind of insane I'm literally making my first trip to Osaka and really needed this video. Thanks so much!
That Ibanez J custom at around 345. Whoooo
Love this video, we need more Japan footage!
Maybe in the summer 😉
Love the day in the life vibes from this one, plus some great guitars

I bought that exact same Burny V in Hiroshima. Flipped it in just a few days.

That V has such a sick finish!!!
Agreed!
Also do you remember how much that sherwood green strat was? I think I need it lol
You should go to Nico Nico guitars in Tokyo - Shibuya. High end guitars used (mainly custom shops and so on) but for really good prices
You always have a good call for a good Strat 👌👌
that pelham blue Les Paul caught my eye the most
"This looks like an Overdrive Special" - meanwhile the paper on top of the amp says "SSS" = Steel String Singer. 😁
That looks fun!
exchange rate prices for fun? how much are they?
It varies each day really. Kinda depends when you exchange money etc. Google does a decen job at showing the price trends
Love Osaka
You would wonder how many were real US Gibsons and how many were Chibsons.
