I still have Super Bad is Back. Even those those early 70s ktel records edited the single version of the song extra shorter.. But made us go by the original artist Lp. They were good samplers.
Do ya suppose Gallery could have tried to look less enthused about things than they did ? And right now I'm doing some self analysis as I try to discover why I felt embarrassed as I watched this vid.
Can anyone tell me the name of the piece at 1:47 and the band please? I remember it was used in a radio drama back in the 70s in Chile and they use to play the whole track at the end. I looked for it, but it wasn’t available there at the time. I’d love to hear it again!
@@rwilliamsb007 thanks, but I got the timeline wrong. It was actually 1:47! But thanks for the info, I used to like Curtis Mayfield in my teens. Guess I’ll have to buy more vinyl!
@@elausraliano rwilliamsb007 1 second ago ITS OK!... Hello, Im glad you answered. That piece would be 'SCORPIO' by Dennis Coffey. ruclips.net/video/KBn_oUH8Uo0/видео.html PS - Im already a vinyl collector on top of being an absolute music lover of all genres. Please feel free to ask when you are looking - especially soul and R&B music :)
@@SteveCarras thank you, I’d already been told by someone else. I went to an record fair and I was asking everyone if they had it and, after asking about twelve different people, this guy I knew was selling part of his collection and he had the very record of Dennis Coffey with that track. I couldn’t believe my luck. It only took 50 years!
You mean those cartridges that you find in an antique store and the owner wants five dollars each for the popular albums only for them to be in extremely poor condition with the sponges deteriorating and the tape itself possibly sheds, plus the players themselves are rare! Even if you do find an 8track player, it is mostly part of an all in one humongous stereo system that's bigger then what you have on your desk space and most of the time you test the 8 track player and the channels are stuck. I don't know what era you're from, but, if you say that 8 track is your favorite audio format, better then LP? then you must have a hobby of restoring them. I hope I'm not two years late for the comment just to disrupt.
"Funky!"
Boogie.🕺
"Wonderful!"
The Gallery looked like they were stoned while making that commercial.
This was a really great way for kids to get music back in the day. 😉 I actually owned quite a few of these K-tel albums. 🇨🇦
Right on 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍🎶
Awesome!!!!!!!!
I miss these days! Life was so simple! Awesome commercials!
Mil...LIE JACKson!
Was listening to my LONG playlist which had many 1971 vintage songs..
A lot of the songs I have on my mp3 list are FROM these albums..!

Would love to own 5/6 LPs. 🤗
They showed an old man with a little girl on his knee when they mentioned Jerry Lee Lewis.
the sound on the video is all on one side for some reason.
