The background singer sings in key but the bg vocals are too loud so that makes it sound funny.

This is a very good version. The fact that some of you can't sing with the back vocals just shows that you might not be so good a singer. A good singer can always sing with others singing back. And the voice is also NOT out of tune. Listen to the original song and you will hear the exact same voice in the background. So shut up and sing on.

I've sang this song many times, and if you know the lyrics, then the wrong lyrics wouldn't throw ya off ya know? Plus, like you said, if you sing on the right pitch, the back up vocals aren't off key really.... just my 2 cents :)
