  • "Ready for Love" is a song written by Mick Ralphs that was first released by his band Mott the Hoople on their 1972 album All the Young Dudes. After Ralphs left Mott the Hoople to join Bad Company, a revamped version of the song was released on his new band's 1974 debut album, Bad Company. Although not released as a single, the Bad Company version became a popular radio song, and has appeared on many of Bad Company's live and compilation albums.

@@sandib4234 it was Paul's choice not to be inducted. He told them rock and roll should be alive ...not in a museum . I respect him even more for that .

True, and unfortunately, it won't be forgotten. He was, in fact, one of the first rockers who was in mind when the R&R HoF was being considered. Apparently, they didn't like being turned down and He and Bad Co - though they deserve to be there - will probably not be nominated, let along inducted. It's a travesty; though the R&R HoF has become a joke these days.@@newday2637

I heard him say in an interview one time when they asked about how he stays so physically fit, he said that singing is a full body thing; he sings with his whole body. There is no one like him. Been loving Bad Co. since way back. Love Simon Kirke for his no nonsense powerful steady beats. He does it without a million pieces just a basic four piece. Less is way better.

Best version of this song I ever saw or heard, the jam at the end gives chills. Great, great song and band. 70s music still sounding fresh in this century.

My husband asked me to marry him while this song was playing in the background. I lost my love after 25 years of marriage when he left this world. I still love this song but boy is it hard to listen to now. Tears just dont stop falling. You boys sound amazing!

Keep listening to great music as much as you can, Darlin. It will do you good on your journey and it will help you heal.. tho it might not feel great. It will be great. Trust me.

So sorry you lost your husband. At least you had 25 years. I had 2. And I know what you feel.

@SAVANNAHEVENTS I try to. Once the kids were out of school and we had a little extra time and money, hubby and I went to concerts. Concerts were kind of our thing. Well, my oldest son knows how hard things have been for me. My amazing child bought concert tickets for him, my daughter, myself, and a friend. Music lives on in my heart even if it hurts now.
