In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips from bear attacks, encounters and even charges. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forest, national parks, alaska, russia and canada.
Encounters with black bears, brown bears and even kodiak bears are actually way more common than you might think. They often happen to people who are hiking, camping, mountain biking or even hunting.
It just turns out that some of them were lucky enough to capture footage of these near death experiences that almost went wrong on camera and go pro. This leads to some very creepy videos.
Thankfully, many people on hikes carry bear spray, which prevents their bear encounter from turning into ''gone wrong'' viral moments.
Get ready, because these bear vs man moments that could easily be considered near death experiences are sure to give you the chills.

As an Alaskan, let me say this much - bears are not "easily scared" of people instinctively. They are an Apex Predator, which means nothing preys on them. When that is the case, you are not scared of anything outside of your own species.
The only reason these bears are cautious, is because they live in a place where they can be hunted - i.e. Canada, USA, Russia. THAT is the only way they learn to fear humans. If you don't believe me, just do some research on Polar Bears. Even though they are no longer endangered, they are still not hunted. We can, and have, hazed them...which has varying degrees of education for them. For those that haven't been hazed, or didn't learn the lesson, they have zero fear of us. People are killed and eaten by polar bears all the time.

Always remember the more remote a place is that you are going, the more chances you’ll have an encounter. Because animals specifically pick remote places nobody goes to in order to feel safe . You head there and be wrong place at wrong time. A person needs a weapon on a sling constantly in such places. You get stalked, approached from behind etc. as the prey

New Title, Bear encounters that amounted to nothing
Coming from a college educated herpetologist and zoologist with 30 years of experience, the best thing you can do encountering an aggressive bear (believe it or not) is run directly towards it, preferably with a firearm but any melee weapon would work as well. The whole "play dead" thing is just not wise to do.

Bears can run very fast, about 30 miles an hour over short distances. The good news is that you don't have to outrun the bear. You just have to outrun your friends.

If this video has taught me anything, it's that bears have patience. Some of these ppl put themselves in serious danger just to get a "good video". Had any of the ppl chasing the bears had gotten killed by said bear, others would go out to kill it. Doesn't seem right.

4:25 - one of the biggest black bear I've ever seen. He should have been more afraid, that's definitely not normal and they were actually in a lot of danger there.
SOME bears are afraid of humans, or are easily scared but SOME AREN'T. Shockingly smart, fast, agile, pre-calculated, - they practically have super powers. And a gun won't stop all of them. A surprising amount won't be stopped by bear spray either. The possibility of being eaten alive keeps me away from their home - not a camper anymore!
