I am more average guy, could not hope to afford a car half their price any time soon. But if it were up to me to choose one, I think the W12 says "Bentley" more than the v8 does. I associate Bentley with luxury. W12 being smoother more emphasizes that. Definitely my dream car no questions asked.
The coupe because I like the integrity of having the hardtop. Plus my road racing background I'm afraid of what happens if I end up upside down. The W12... YES! I was just looking at Wikipedia and saw that the Speed has another 24 horsepower. Plus the double clutch gearbox in the newer models.
Yeah The ROOF will protect you, from that 4,886 pounds of upside down Bentley. Wow... Hate to cruise along on the REST of your brilliant solutions... Try a ROLL-BAR, precious.🙄
Interesting comparison, thanks! However I feel it was a bit flawed. In order to make a valid comparison between the V8 and the W12, you perhaps should have used the similar car for both - either the coupé or convertible. Now you had different cars for each of the engines. I wonder how much of your decision of the engine was actually based on the different qualities of the coupé versus convertible.
12 cylinder colour looks Fab ... pity you never opened up the glass roof seeing as the 2021 models has this feature for the first time .... for me I would prefer to purchase a RR .... People in the money bracket no doubt also own a sports car so it not all about the handling although you must admit the interior especially in the coup is fantastic but not as special as a RR ...
DEFINITELY THE COUPE BUT ENGINE CHOICE IS A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT TO AGREE ON .... THE DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE IS NOT REALLY THAT GREAT A DIFFERENCE AND THE 8 GETS A LITTLE BETTER MILEAGE ON TRIPS AND AROUND TOWN . I BELIEVE THE 8 WILL OUT SURVIVE THE 12 FOR THE NEAR FUTURE AND WILL BE USED IN MANY MORE CARS THAN THE 8 .... I'LD GO WITH AN 8 COUPE MOST LIKELY .. BUT JUST GOTTA TAKE A 12 FOR A SPIN JUST TO EXPERIENCE THE SMOOTH MASSIVE TORQUE .... CARBON FIBER IS NOT EVEN IN THE SAME GAME COMPARED TO THE MAGNIFICENT BENTLEY WOOD VENEER INTERIOR AND MAYBE ONE OF THE BEST FACTORS IS THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF PLASTIC KNOBS OR TRIM I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE BEST BENTLEYS EVER .... IT CERTAINLY DOES SHOW THAT THEY HAVE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TO REFINE THIS MASTERPIECE OF AN AUTOMOBILE !!!!!
Great comment thank you .. when you drive them back to back the 12 is so heavy in all controls after the 8 ... steering feel much heavier etc .. thank you for watching
@@supercarsinsecondsluxuryre8258 Thanks for the response. The juxtaposition of the two cars was unique with you guiding the viewer through the differences. I hope you can arrange for another side by side. Or re-record audio on the old video if not.
It’s been good for them having the German ownership for sure .. obviously they own Lamborghini and owned Bugatti too .. makes them really reliable for sure
Thank you for watching.. it’s hard to get it all in a short video but that is a good point ... W12 is around 16 mpg v8 is over 20 ... It is a lot of difference
I agree the problem is getting them both at the same time in this crazy market the super sports is a different animal than the speed the speed is a fast Bentley the super sports he’s very much a supercar in its behavior not as civilized as the speed
@@supercarsinsecondsluxuryre8258 true but what crazy is how these car 10 year old still looks modern and some what affordable minus the maintenance repair can be very exspensive I like the supersport with speed interior I really like the flip touch screen on newer models I think 2011 thru 2013 is my price range under 100k
For once a useful V8 vs w12 comparison thank you 🙏🏼
Back to back they are different yes .. thank you for watching
Beautiful cars, but W12 and Coupe for me. Majesty and power
I agree with you that's why I am getting W12.Kingfisher blue convertible. This Friday fingers crossed...
That magenta color is stunning. I once saw a Bentayga in it which was lovely. V8 for me

I like convertible cars but in this case the W12 looks and feels much better. I love Bentley cars.
Thank you for watching… it’s a wonderful passion filled brand indeed
Great video. Hopefully closing on a W12 today. Loved your vibe and excitement

Lovely video. Answered several of my questions. Thank you.
Which chronograph Invicta model are you wearing in this video? I want to buy one. At first glance I thought it was a Daytona. It's impressive looking.
This guy loves his job.
Well done sir, great review! I have officially subscribed 👌🏻
Love the videos Matt, keep up the great content and detail. I’d like to see the Range Rover SV Autobiography LWB

Lol indeed .. I would suffer the V8 if I had too ... thank you for watching
Love the convertible and that magenta color. I'm picking one up soon!
Yes it is a car you would never tire of
W12 all day, every day!

Convertible is heavier.
My thoughts exactly 👍
The 12 is what I'm considering
is that the normal v8 exhaust?
He be pushin that shit

Convertible W12 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Matt - where did the 765LT / 720S side by side comparison video go? That was a personal favorite!
I took it down because the tire pressure monitors kept going off and it sounded bad.. I have another 765 coming soon and I’ll re make it !! Thank you

Oooo god one
Good one

@@supercarsinsecondsluxuryre8258 yes thats right Sir and Rolls Royce is the luxury brand from BMW for example.
An even easier way to tell the 8 from the 12:
The B button on the boot and bonnet insignia is red on the 8 and black on the 12.
Clearly it wasn’t in this video
Power
V8!!!! I would definitely choose the V8 plus it's a drop top 😍
Weaker engine in a HEAVIER car.

V8 all day unless your showing your age. Convertible over the coup!
