Just picture Andy going to an extremely fancy restaurant and chaos ensuing because fancy food is shit.

He is either criticising society, the government or a common mentality, maybe a certain type of dude with a certain kind of lifestyle? ... I think... ? I'm using "society" down below, just to keep it simple.

I don't understand the first two lines, but than it becomes obvious. Society is "granting" him a piecemeal life, plastic, because it is artificially fabricated, something that lacks sustenance. This life is good enough to carry on, but because he didn't work for any of this, he either is uneducated, blissfully ignorant or in reality unfulfilled and "out-of-tune".

Give me a break, you give what you take"
Can't make much out of the first line. Second: Society is dictating each individuals life. As an example think back to school, where you'd had to learn something and take it in, regurgitate it in the exam, and forget about it afterwards. There is nothing left, that builds your character. Here in this song his peers are regretfully buying into it.

Because the higher ups are adamant on being the lecturer (not talking about the school system, but even such things as public oppinion via media and societal pressure) while being terrible at it, they end up holding people back. Society declines to mediocrity. It would've been better to just get out of his way.

Justified punishment, judgement is bleeding through"
Everyone is playing nice, but it's stupid and shallow. The truly brilliant people are ostracised or repressed, don't belong because they don't fit into the lockstep of mediocrity. Resentment builds, that is bleeding through the facade of playing along. But the torture of going along with the play is justified punishment for his cowardice.

He is desperately trying to make himself blind to these facts, under pain. His cowardice is disguised as wisdom or appreciation for life. Though in his case, that's a lie.

Self explanatory, conflicting feelings. Urge to flip the table, wanting to conform.

Hell Yeah! *This* is why #Combichrist is terrific!!! Andy take this sound far away the clones and the boring repetition, and EVOLVED beyond all precepts about "it should be" #ThisIsWhereDeathBegins sounds like enriched mixture of industrial elements with a solid blast of metal, full of highlights NON COMPARABLE TO NOTHING! Combichrist is a living masterpiece, a trace of constant evolution and the best fuckin' example of a non stoping ambition with the thundering sound of successful and the energy that matches it!

I asked him once if they're ever going to do more material like their old, and he got a bit pissed and said that he wants to do something different, and that he doesn't want to do the same thing over and over again. It bites, but can't argue with that. I agree that their older stuff is much better.

To everyone complaining or making comments about their genre wavering, I think you completely misunderstand what industrial and Combichrist is about, a musician should be able to have this freedom to create whatever they wish, it's an art, this is progression and expression of who the musicians are, they are free to jump to different styles whenever they choose.
Sure, it may not be your cup of tea, but it'll be appreciated none-the-less, I don't like this as much as their older work, but I appreciate it, go with the flow guys, it only gets better from here.
Don't forget that actually the people who listen to their music pays their bills. If they don't do their best to please the audience, well... they will have all the freedom in the world at some garage, playing for their friends.
