Daniel so much respect for you . It's impressive to see how much you're still dedicating yourself to improving at poker, and all those hours are definetly paying off. I might be wrong but since dougs challenge you have become way stronger then ever, and i bet you are improving even more. People talk trash about you because they are jealous that you are a face that will be forever in poker hall of fame. Not only that but you are also so fun to have on a poker table. You deserve 100% the success you have through life. Thanks for being such an inspiration for the younger generation !! Keep crushing, wish you the best luck
Glad it is. Daniel had some "payback with durr's name on it" in his pocket all these years, and he finally gives it to durr in all four suits, not just spades.
The closing comments on the flat calling rationale were spot on. In trying to prevent yourself from being exploitable. Flat call and spring the trap. Good move against Tom. He got trapped trying to exploit a perceived weak hand. I think….
I honestly think there is nobody better then Daniel at going over and analyzing hands at this point in time. I think that heads up challenge with Doug Polk made him a way better player.
I’m so impressed with how you’ve evolved Daniel and how you didn’t get stubborn like most old pros from your time. They rested on the fruits of their labor from that era and didn’t work and study their ass off like you. You’ve evolved so much that your giving dwan the lesson: AJ off is a pure fold here it’s dominated by all ur value. 10 years ago you were the biggest spot in this lineup probably besides tilly and now I would argue besides Garrett you’re the second toughest player at this table. A table that includes dwan, ivey and Patrick. The odds I would have had to get 10 years ago on you being the better player than those 3 titans 10 years later would have had to be +15000. Bravo Daniel. I’m truly inspired
@Daniel, I am a late starter into taking poker seriously. It started with being hooked on highlight videos, many of with them with you, and you being a big reason why I continued to watch. You have class while keeping the table fun, and have been a big inspiration with me trying to up my game. Please keep up the amazing work, and keep doing such a fantastic job of explaining your train of thought as you evolve your game.
Ive been doing some hard work on the solver daniel for about 3 months now. I can tell the amount of time you put in as well, pointing out spr and how the solver usually prefers protection w kings and queens but is fine checking with aces on that flop. Amazing to see how you have adapted. Hopefully one day i can play beside you!
The preflop 4-bet is sound, because what hands are you playing as a double flat that you can't include in your 4-bet range? 4-bet or call are both so strong, you might as well 4-bet with your actual hand to get it in against AK and QQ
Ain’t gonna lie, I miss chatty intuitive Daniel at the table. That being said, you’ve proven someone can over time play at the highest level of poker using two completely different styles. That’s damn amazing. Hats off, my friend. From an American who has eaten poutine in Canada! 👍👍
Your insightful videos on your plays on High Stakes Poker and your book, Hold'em Wisdom for All Players, have been an inspiration for me. I already enjoy beating my friends and family at poker using your techniques. Plus you have given me the confidence to study poker theory and play in cash games at my local casino. Thank you so much Dnegs, one day I'd love to play at a table with you, perhaps WSOP!
I like both flatting and 4-bet PF. Without sufficient bluff 3-bet, you don’t have enough board coverage for such a deep stack, so it’s better to have no 3-bet range than having an unbalanced 3-bet range. Once Tom 3-bet, the SPR is small so playing straightforward should be the first option.
Daniel, I appreciate your candor and for sharing your thoughts about this hand. I always enjoy watching you play, and wish you continued success! If I ever can enter the main event, I'd be thrilled to draw the same table for even a little while!
Not an insult: There isn't much remarkable about this hand except the size of the pot @Daniel Negreanu. Limp 4 bet 2.3x with KK, opponent spikes top top, and has a pot sized bet to your 1/3 C bet. Amazing analysis of what took place I really appreciate the layers of detail you go into it shows great growth as a player. Tip: your rapid eyes, heavy chest movement from breathing and the manner in which you check your hole cards are very obvious live tells. ~Chat Pro/huge fan
There's heaps remarkable about this hand. Most people would just 3bet patriks iso here with the KK, then AJo snapfolds pre and we get no more money out of him. Now Daniel 4bets a limp raise that could be super strong, making Daniel's range absurdly strong here possibly just KK and AA only. Dwan makes an absolutely horrible call pre here with AJos to Daniel's flat then backraise 4bet. To say there's not much remarkable going on here shows how absolutely clueless you are
Daniel, your content has truly evolved and kept pace with the times. I really appreciate learning from you! Took your Masterclass also! Please keep the content coming! Ran into you at last year's WSOP, and you were nice enough to pause for a pic with me! On behalf of the poker masses, thank you!
I've been watching this man just dismantle people since I got into the game in 2004 and it never gets old. It was amazing how the commentators even called out how Daniel was just gonna fuck with Dwan now lol.
Studied this game for about three year before trying live cash games i guess you could say Daniel is my coach i studied by playing stacked and online free poker were i tried to guess what they had ever hand,i got pretty good at it.love playing this game and watching Daniel play.my favorite player.Someone told me once IF You Can Call you can Raise. That is a lot said if you think about it.
are you not reraising much in that spot as you know that the EV of 3b and call with the JTs AQo 88 etc are similar and you have a preference for flatting and playing multiway to playing an inflated pot HU and potentially facing a jam?
Do you feel giving away your thinking hurts you in tournaments? Or do you trust the luck part enough and or your skill bluffing you have these kinds of hands.
Part of the point behind GTO is that every action he takes is balanced by a bunch of other possible hands. So even if his opponents know what he is doing and why, they still will struggle to exploit it.
would someone please explain why you run it twice? what does that mean ? after dwan goes all-in, why not just turn over the cards and see who wins? thx
They do it as a favour for the one who’s behind to win some of the pot back. So if the pot is 100k, the first run is for 50k and the second is for 50k. It’s a televised show so they don’t really want to bust each other.
So apparently Dwan leveled himself to the point where nothing changed. He limped UTG with a sucker hand, re-raised a preflop raiser, called the re-re-raise, flopped top pair/kicker, stacked off and lost his entire stack to an overpair - exactly what a newbie would do.
Hey Dnegs... Could u analyse the hand u played against the same Durrr, when u had J8o x AK and u raised him. I aways wanted to know what ur thinking that time. Keep it up! Ty!
If I had Tom's hand, I think I would likely fold pre-flop, which Daniel would be happy with I think. If Daniel likes to bluff, another possibility is I call pre-flop, and just continue to call Daniel's 20k on the flop, and fold on the turn or river depending how much Daniel is raising again.
now here is my question: you mention that dwan feels good about his postflop play, which is certainly a huge strengh of his game. but him calling the 4bet makes the spr so small that he doesnt have much manoeuvrability left post flop. so shouldnt he just fold pre?
Hey Daniel! Would you be interested in a supermatch with the top 5 players in the world and the Poker AI Pluribus? It'd be interesting to see such a human vs machine supermatch.

Very interesting break down. The thought process makes the hand ten times more interesting.
This is one of the best videos I think I've seen Daniel do, paired with spot on announcing analysis, definitely a lot to be learned from this hand
Love these videos, always so insightful. Really helping as I'm starting to play poker more consistently, thanks Daniel!
Glad to hear it!
So amazing to hear such a detailed hand breakdown from The man himselft thanks for finding a time to do all that . good luck !
You played that beautifully
A legend breaks down the hand and another legend provides the commentary, poker at its finest very enjoyable to watch.
Respect to you Daniel. You’re definitely on the Mount Rushmore of Poker imo. Hope you ran good this season. Appreciate the breakdowns.
When Daniel start to talk about poker, It is like music to me. My ears says: thank you, Pedro.
1:48 the worst part of the hand is Bellande calling a ROL with A5 off 🤣, i have no idea how this man can still afford playing this stakes
He probably only plays at home games or lineups where he's surprisingly not the worst player.

These hand breakdowns are the best gamba content on the internet.
when he shoved i would've put him on JJ, because he also checked flop.. so its not really that easy call with KK
Great GTO vs Live Poker comments at the end. Keep it coming Daniel!

Great lesson Daniel. Squeezing your opponents, knowing what kind of bet they are willing to be a part of.
What is the benefit of a Poker Go subscription? It just seems to be a lot of play footage.
@6:44 made me laugh so hard because I literally thought the EXACT same thing 😂, cheers Daniel, wishing you good luck in the near future!
Looking great Dan and this is gold, all of my fav players at one table!

I'll have my guy do that sure
U know Dan ur on top of ur game r n I was u played Doug now would be very fun
So Tom Dwan looks the same as he did back in the day. He has hardly aged at all. Daniel they hand break downs are sick. Keep them coming!!!

Daniel and Tom,
Two cats you always enjoy watching play a hand
Am I trippin or does the title say this hand is against Garrett?
Nice, front hair density is starting to look really good. I feel like maybe one more session and it will be perfect.
My favorite part of the show so far is when you start talking about the danish gambit while Phil and Kim are in the middle of a hand lol
daniel is the man....awesome dude and one of the best poker players ever!!!
By 4 betting weaker when you are known to have more top range hands, makes it possible for you to 4bet raise less large and still get a fold preflop!
Daniel, You got me into poker with your game Stacked! hooked ever since! Thanks
my fav poker pro! love learning from you! good luck with your next game big man!
Which season of High Stakes Poker was this?
Glad it's back. But I'm waiting for the big game to make it's return

I watched this episode last night, cool timing to see this
@5:09 "How old are you now, Patrick?"
... "I don't know"
..."You don't know?
hahahaha
Great breakdown
And another great video. Top stuff again Daniel.
Correct on the flop down bet but you got to mixed it up occasionally
Love these hand breakdowns Daniel 👍
We love you!!
Whats up with the running in twice when you have a big advantage
Durr was all "loosey goosey having a sandwich" with that shove.
I really like the way you played this one!
Great video, thank you Daniel.
can somebody tell me what kind of deck is that? found it so pretty, wanna buy it
Thanks for these vids Daniel
Damn... Daniel played that super deciptive lol. Can't believe he actually flatted the open raise! Rad.
Love this content!
Daniel have you analyzed a hand that you lost yet? That would be fascinating to hear as well.
Isn’t it a weird shove? I mean what does he expect you to call with?
Nice breakdown
perfectly played what a fun hand
You are just so good. You been on my radar for years ( before youtube) .... very impressive. ....
... in a sense that "I know that I myself don't know... and my opponent does know exactly that" 👌
I would have appreciated a little analysis on Tom's shove....
8:25 chip glance tell!
Thanks you 🇨🇦🇮🇹
Why run it twice? What are the rules for when you can do that? I'm new to the game
Definitely like these vids man. Keep them coming :)
I'd be really curious to know how much of y'alls action is being sold.
dnegs is just outdicking durr in this clip. talking shit when the first board ran out. i love it.
I love these videos.thanks for talking about your play.
thank you for this videos

Bro Dwan really aged like 40 years
Great videos, keep it up.
Are there computers that are GTO that play against us online?

Great analysis thx for your insight Daniel. I believe Tom erred in making the shove there his line vs your range doesnt look to be profitable.
Good to see Bellend at the table...
Hey Dnegs... Could u analyse the hand u played against the same Durrr, when u had J8o x AK and u raised him. I aways wanted to know what ur thinking that time. Keep it up! Ty!
He'sb said many times that he was with flu or sick that time and played really bad lol
Hey Daniel quick question what's the most important poker fundamental in your opinion? Hand reads, Equity calcs, Pot odds ect..
None of those, the most important is have money to play so you dont play scared money
This is good content!

JRB realizing that life goes fast🤣🤣
Don't worry, from 50 up the gears really start shiftn.
Whats a solver?
Do you put your hands on that position for a reason?
Hey Daniel! Would you be interested in a supermatch with the top 5 players in the world and the Poker AI Pluribus? It'd be interesting to see such a human vs machine supermatch.

Loved it!
