Hello everyone, I'm Amy from DitaiPlastic. We specialize in enhancing product design and finished product effects through high-quality thick sheet vacuum forming technology. Here are our key strategies for optimizing product design to achieve better final results:
Firstly, we always maintain close communication with our clients to thoroughly understand their specific needs and expected goals. During the design phase, we consider the properties of materials, such as heat resistance, strength, and aesthetics. We recommend the most suitable materials for our clients' products, ensuring both functional requirements and an attractive appearance are met.
In addition to material properties, we also avoid certain design elements during the design process, such as large and narrow stretches, and undercuts, which can cause problems due to excessive stretching, leading to insufficient strength or issues with mold release.
After confirming the design, our mold engineering will suggest the type of mold to use based on the design drawings, as well as the angle of the mold placement. This approach aims to minimize stretching without affecting mold release, and to avoid vertical stretching as much as possible. This solution can greatly reduce issues like water marks and significant thickness differences.
When vacuum forming materials sensitive to temperature, such as PC materials, we add a constant temperature device to the mold and use infrared thermometers during the vacuum forming process to ensure a constant temperature. Apart from temperature and mold design angles, the type of mold material is also a key factor in ensuring product quality. When clients choose transparent materials, and the mold face is the outer surface of the product, we strongly recommend using 6061 whole aluminum for the mold. After machining, we manually polish it, and finally use 3000 grit sandpaper for water grinding. For higher requirements, mirror polishing can also be done; molds produced through these processes won't have sand holes or any uneven spots, ensuring the most optimized effect for the product.
Ditai Plastic, your vacuum forming expert, is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality products and services.
Thank you very much for your attention and support.
