I have a question for you bestie! So I am 11 and watching your videos and recently when I was 10 I did not feel the excitement or spirit of Christmas which was soo sad for me. So my question is did you ever lose you Christmas “excitement” and if you did ,at what age? I am just wondering if this is something normal honestly 💗
Hey I just wanted to say I think it's normal. Believing in Santa is magical, getting new toys etc is so exciting when you're young, then as you grow up the novelty wears off. It can still be fun but it becomes about spending time with loved ones, so how good it is depends on what your family dynamics are and how you're treated by people in your life, maybe what mood they're in too if they're difficult people. I totally fell out of love with Christmas at one stage, it seemed like a bit of a chore. Then I accidentally got left behind when my family all travelled somewhere for Christmas and I couldn't go for personal reasons...and I found that I loved Christmas alone! With none of the family drama, none of the stress of worrying how the day would go and if anyone would get snippy with someone else, fearing there being an atmosphere to spoil things etc. So now I see my family before or after Christmas but I have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to myself away from them, sometimes I spend it with a friend if I want. I realize at 10 you don't have that level of control over your own life but there will be bits you can control, choices you can make, things you can do differently. Everything in life is a choice of some kind so choose wisely. Remember you can't control other people but you can control your own thoughts, behaviour and actions. You can make the holiday season a time of peace, contentment and fun again. Take care, precious ❤
