    Today we are taking a grand adventure of a road trip to rescue a 1969 C20 from an abusive owner. The story behind this truck is tragic and it requires our efforts to save it from a fate worse than death... SPRAY FOAM! This guy abused the truck in several ways, but for me the worst is filling holes with spray foam to fiberglass over. Then he tried to start it and caught it on fire and burned up the engine bay wiring harness which somehow ended up in the entire truck being stripped of it's wiring. The truck has been abandoned since 2006, sitting forgotten in a back yard. I probably shouldn't have bought this basket case, but I just couldn't leave it with him! Dive in with us as we try to revive this battered beauty. Will it start?
    Check out these guys!

    So glad you saved her! I just don't understand some people...When I bought my 76 Sierra Grande C25, the kid told me he ran it off the drivers side tank. I had it towed to my house, and put gas in the left tank ....cranked, but no fuel....so I thought he must have been mistaken, so I put gas in the pass side tank...cranked ..nothing...So I climb underneath, and here there was no fuel line running from the tank transfer switch to the line going to the fuel pump! Put a new hose on it and it fired right up....I just don't get it....great video man!

      It's sad that people act the way they do. If they have no idea what they are talking about, then just say u don't know. It drives me nuts. The guy I bought the C20 from had the gall to tell me he replaced the driver's rocker and the cab was solid. 🙄 Thanks for watching!

    Nice (except for the fiberglass and foam...whoa)! I've got a '69 GMC C2500 3/4 ton, original 350/350 long bed. My new shop truck, putting her to work!!

      Nice! I haven't officially decided what I'm gonna do with my C20 yet. It's currently parked out of site so I don't have to think about it. I'm simple like that. 🤣 Thanks for watching!

    Enjoyed the video. The parts places hardly know what these trucks are anymore. I've got a 70 C30 dually ramp truck I'm still messing with and it took me long time to find front rotors. Seems their not made anymore by anybody. Weird not being able to find parts for a chevy truck. Good luck🍺

    • @MyLegacyGarage
      @MyLegacyGarage  3 года назад

      It is bizarre that the parts don't seem to be found at say Walmart anymore. I feel like any store used to have a Chevy trucks part section. Don't even get me started on the parts store people. 🙄 I'm glad you enjoyed the video. More to come so stick around. Thanks for watching!

    Hi is 4750 a unresonable $$ ammount for a '71 truck similar to this ( its driveable runs) i drove it earlier its like a c in cosmetically ( looks like original paint few dents /dings but as ii said its very driveable )

    • @MyLegacyGarage
      @MyLegacyGarage  3 года назад

      I would say that's a lot for one in similar condition. This one is gutted and has no wiring or anything and is quite rusty. Check out the white 68 on my channel. I sold that truck for 5k to give you a reference. Hope this helps.
