that's not the reason the A's got ruined. there's other teams who've adopted the moneyball ideology that pour resources into their roster and organization. the reason the A's got ruined was simple: greed. the owner is the most greedy SOB in American professional sports. yes, the book and subsequent movie turned finding undervalued players into common knowledge, but the owner's refusal to field a competent team is the depressing thing.
