hip hop in the states has such a huge influence on korean hip hop its crazy. Recently saw a lot of Korean rappers get heat for appropriation but watching some of them grow from shows like show me the money it really hurt seeing that. I think in their eyes they were really trying to copy the artists from over here. But as a fan of Korean rap im glad to see that hip hop as a whole is still well received by the younger generation

The showboating was his lyricism and writing ability. The challenge highlights the wordplay most people would totally miss if they didn't know the lyrics. You need to know the lyrics to do the challenge and by knowing the lyrics you get to understand just how good he is at writing. It's nothing to do with how fast he can rap and more to do with the fact that he wrote the rap with the most words spoken in a 30 second period (Rap God) and then BROKE HIS OWN RECORD with Godzilla and didn't compromise wordplay to cheat more words into it.
