This honestly might be the best looking animated fight in One Piece. Aside from the action, I like how they animated the background and Lucci’s speed. They made him look like one of the fastest characters in OP.

Don’t know why y’all are coming for Jerry when he’s technically right. Lucci really didn’t do much to Luffy. Yeah he leveled up and he’s strong but Luffy is in the same class as the emperors, meanwhile I doubt Lucci is stronger than Katakuri or Doflamingo. He’s slightly above the Tobiroppo at best since he was Who’s Who’s former rival. Also Lucci is a leopard not a cheetah.

Honestly luffy could of easily beat lucci his only negative in gear 5 he has to much fun fighting so he don’t get serious forreal but I will say lucci did hold his own and took some shots but he nowhere on luffy level at this point

you all are confused on thing. luffy didn’t run out of energy with gear 5. that side effect likely happens even when he turns G5 off. in the chance that he djd run out of energy, you all are under the misconception that he can’t do anything which is wrong. the first time he used G5 against kaido the same thing happened and he went right back into with will power. so if lucci was still in front of him luffy would still be in his his G5 form and say for the sake of the argument he wasnt, he would still be able to go back into it.
another thing, lucci didnt immediately recover after that last punch from luffy. you can see not only that he wasn’t in his awakened for, but he also had been patched up.

I just don’t see why would he randomly turn gear 5 off in the middle of a fight, then start panting as if he’s exhausted? I mean obviously he did still have energy left in him since he was able to fight again, but it’s just odd to me. In the manga though, he’s lost energy twice and had to eat food just to regain a bit of energy back
@@WackoHumor If u mean against the fight against Rob Lucci then, just think about it, why would Luffy still be in Gear 5 when he has entered the rocket ship or whatever that is, second the rocket launcher or whatever had a time limit after which it would automatically launch and it was the last ship to go to upper levels. So Luffy quickly launched himself into the ship and turned off Gear 5 cause there was no further purpose for it 🤷🏻♂️

Whenever Luffy turns in to the old man saggy face look, it’s not a draw back of his power. What it is, is how they’re depicting him that he’s tired. Kinda like how he goes full toon force(silly way of fighting) in gear 5, this is the silly way they show he’s tired. That’s why when he fought kaido he quickly switched out of the old man look because he was just tired but had the will to fight.

i like Lucci cause hes not a gimmick fighter dude is just strong. theres no having to figure out how his abilities work its kinda just straight up. He's probably about 1st commander level at this point based on this fight. Even in the manga hes pretty impressive hope he sticks around atleast until the final arcs. also I hate it tho because post time skip besides Hordy Jones a lot of Luffys fights for main villains and side fights have huge asterisks next to them
