I like how the Piston Cup racers in the 1st movie consist of a Plymouth Superbird, a Buick Grand National, several Chevrolet Monte Carlos, Dodge Intrepids, Pontiac Grand Prixs, Toyota Camrys, and Ford Taurus, and a Chevy Corvette (I actually think Lightning is a mix between a Corvette and a Dodge Viper).

Bruh age doesn’t exist in the Cars verse, also they are based on when the models came out.
It seemed obvious to me when I watched it.
Age plays an important role in this series, even looking at the 3rd part, but it should be noted that in this universe there are no children, only cars function like adults right after production (Although the Cruz story challenges this theory). The problem is that it is not explained whether they are made in the factory or are born (it would be pointless, but Italian cars had parents in the 2nd part). It is also interesting that some live for 100 years, some die, and some at 30 are scrap.
Tesla isn’t 1991, and I’m fairly certain Mack is ‘85, not ‘03. Also, you didn’t include Stanley, who was built in 1909 (making him the oldest car in the series).

My jaw dropped at that part! I legitimately had no idea the Cars franchise actually features a Tesla as one of its characters! However, the Tesla Model S came out in 2012, and the first modern electric car, the General Motors EV-1, didn't come out until 1996.
@@scratchpad7954 Not sure if you can consider the first modern electric car to be the one you described as it failed miserably like everything since the early days of the Automobile regarding electric vehicles until tesla came along.
Maybe I'd consider the first real Modern electric car to rather be the '08 Tesla Roadster

The reason is that Doc Hudson's number is 51, and McQueen's birth year would be 1995 In the case of Corvette, it is known that the c5 release is 1997, and the c4 was released and discontinued by 1996, but the shape of the c4 is angled compared to the silhouette of McQueen

Even though Cars 3 came out 6 years ago now, I’m still very unfamiliar with that movie. I’ve seen the first two Car films enough times to be familiar with them, but Cars 3 is still new to me.

Funnily enough, apparently Chick isn't a Buick "by decree" - GM didn't want one of their cars portrayed as a villain, even though he's still obviously modeled after a Nascar G-body. Also, there was no rear-drive Monte Carlo in 1988, nor a GNX in '79.

@@saltbombcreations8336 it was initially a joke but I would be lying if I wasn't upset about some of the brands they technically made extinct due to their management. The company im most upset about is Saab. I'm a Swede and a Saab enthusiast. Saab wouldnt have survived all that long but with GM, they got the shorter end of the stick, at least imo. Most companies bought by GM fall like a sack of potatoes. Others don't, but a lot of them have done so. If you don't agree or see it that way, all good, but it does seem quite odd how many makes have gone under while they were run by GM in specific. Makes me wonder.

Well many things wrong here, and everyone has already pointed it out. Though must give u cred for actually naming The King as a Plymouth Superbird, and not a Dodge Charger Daytona :)
Both are very similar but the Superbird’s wing is moved slightly forward and the Charger Daytona has the word Daytona on the rear left and right. Also the Daytona is still being produced by Dodge while Plymouth was discontinued in 2002

cars age like cars. take care of them, and they'll last for a long time (depending on the car). But if you don't take care of a real car, it may only last 15 years

This list doesn't makes sense. Some of the cars are only an stylish inspiration of car types from different genres. For examples the White pickup whas just an 90's pick up that could be an GMC, Ford or Chevy. Pickups from those times were almost the same with Small differences in headlights. Also McQueen isn't based on any car. It's just a mix of a muscle car, 90s viper and a nascar car

Look up pictures of a 1957 Chevrolet pickup tow truck. Now look at a picture of mater. The headlights, cabin, body styling is spot on.
