Consider bringing actual noobs into next season GG. Like one of the challenges is "Everyone has been assigned a new player. Without using plugins, guide your rookie to gain the most quest points, or levels, or something" Just an idea, also I love you and your content
Did the players not know that the mole had some basic TOA experience? Seems like it would have helped to establish a baseline of how much TOA he had done so everyone doesn't just completely throw.
The mole would need to have a basic understanding of the raid or this whole thing wouldn't work at all. If the mole was actually a noob they would just instawipe immediately every time and the challenge would devolve into everyone suiciding as fast as possible and the video would suck.
He just needs a basic understanding TOA doesn't have much of a skill ceiling unless you're purposely limiting yourself to like 20 fang kits in your inv
Yeah feels like for ToA you'd want someone who can do like 150s and then take them to an Expert. That way they at least know stuff like room order, how to solve the puzzles, the correct prayers, etc. That way you at least get a completion without immediately outing people.
It seems like Tasty himself didn't know how much experience the mole had, so he couldn't have communicated it any better than he did. He could have interrogated the mole of course and gotten a clearer understanding of what they could and couldn't do
I feel like this would work a little better if the 'pro's' know the level of the mole, because they tried to pretend like they were holding a mouse for the first time while the actual mole had done some toa before. I feel like had they known beforehand and tried to pretend to be a 200 invo ToA runner instead of someone without a monitor it would have been a lot closer. The voting game now simply was 'who was the most shit?'
i think it's also cool that the mole has to think "wait i also have to throw a bit because everyone else is throwing on purpose" but i do agree that everyone was being so extra lmao
@@belof449 If they're not good at the raid, they're a noob imo. I have +120 toa expert kc and I still die in the most stupid ways, so yeah i consider myself a noob even tho i "know" what i'm doing.

@@nothayley honestly p2 used to be a pain but theres legit just like 2 tiles you can highlight to stand on which makes it infinitely easier and its not "sweaty" easier, makes dodging the specials a piece of cake
Bro I cant believe you got mmg for this huge waves , love the content from you both great vid!!!!!, side not i guess there is solo and tpapa and a cold one love them all so they count too.!!
This has to become a series! Next time, please use the plugin that shows eachother's name Suggestion for a future episode, instead of adding a noob you can assign one player with the task to try to lose the raid and the others have to try to finish the raid to win, but still get people to vote on them.
Idea for next time: Let the mole learn 30 minutes in advanced on what to do. Let the others write down a name after each room. The prize is only awarded if you finish the raid.
Well as he said before, he's actually done ToA, so it's not like it was his first rodeo with the raid. On top of that, what people fail to realize with newbies in raids is that a majority will follow the pack/read up on guides etc before entering. Like, if you see 3/5 people ranging, your thought proccess isn't "oh I'll melee". It's "Oh they're ranging for some reason, I should too".
If you want to act like the mole -Baba puzzle just camp fang for all the monkeys and let shaman spawn tons of thrall monkeys -At baba just run it normally. Don't boulder skip or shoot baba between waves. -At kephri do the puzzles correctly. Always uncover all the tiles in the end before solving it though. -Do kephri normally and just stack dung literally wherever. Camp pray range the whole fight. Attack the mager as normal when it appears (you can be slow at attacking it though) -At zebak puzzle just pick water container and leg it down the puzzle tanking everything. Keep running to the waterfall don't waste time in middle. Attack a croc if it appears and you're in the middle. Run to the same waterfall multiple times even. -For the fight, do everything normally. Hope someone else solves the hide behind rock mechanic but do the waves properly (miss hits to do waves properly). For last phase you can take a hit or two off prayer (but dont die) -At akkha puzzle do it normally except stand right next to the seal not 1 tile away -For akkha fight honestly you can just die here. I cant remember if memory was quick but if not then don't die to memory puzzle. Just die to off prayer akkha hits or cum phase -Wardens do it properly but use ambrosias to heal up frequently. If you do more than the above you're obviously faking it. If you do less then you've never done ToA before (which in this case the mole HAD done it). And im saying this as a ToA noob. These are things I was doing until people taught me otherwise
I am not apposed to having someone who is a bit more experienced as the "noob" for this style of video, however the mole this time around really felt like they were kind of just chilling the entire time which let them kind of fly under the radar way too easily. Maybe disallowing plugins (for everyone) would be one way to really pull them out of their comfort zone. Or doing a Hard Mode raid if they are only used to Entry/Normal modes. Especially if your not going to let "pros" know that the "noob" isn't really a noob in the traditional sense (just because your more skilled than someone at something doesn't make that person a noob at doing that thing..) Also the amount of times "I didn't mean to die" was spoken is a little bit ridiculous for "runescape professionals". I'd kind of expect "professionals" to be able to damn near solo these even with them being scaled to 5-players. To be clear, intentionally dying I am completely on board with, got to make yourself look like a noob somehow, but "I didn't mean to die" doesn't really seem like they were trying to sandbag themselves. All-in-all, good concept but if your going to do it again id probably be better with some of the kinks ironed out.
if it helps any I guarantee the maintenance on that maybach costs the price of a used subaru every year and a subaru will outlast any rover by about 2 lifespans
