Amanda Seales is ALWAYS a master class in transparency and intuition. Often, women who are perceived as “masculine” or “difficult” or whatever the haters want to call her, are actually highly sensitive, deeply feeling, deeply loving people who just want the energy they give to be reciprocated. Sadly, most people just don’t have the emotional capacity (or capability) to show up like that and that’s what makes it hard for someone like our girl. It’s cold out there in them streets!

If marriage is the ultimate goal for most relationships, I’m going to make an unpopular statement. As a married man, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Everyone isn’t cut out for marriage regardless of gender. It takes an exceptional person to get married and remain successfully married. The marriage and divorce rate numbers are accurate and it takes a special person to indefinitely pair-bond with another person. I pray for the best outcome for everyone. Honestly, there are some great people out there, but they are not great for marriage. God bless 🙏🏾

So true. I’m 33 years in. We have good and bad times. Being respectful and acceptance good and bad is an absolute in a marriage. If you cannot accept that in a person, keep moving. Amanda clearly does not want to deal with a man’s traumas and I get it, but let’s get real, she’s all over the place and she takes everything to heart. She is extremely sensitive and speaks on everything. Not saying she should shut up since she has the right to speak, but my god she could drive someone crazy. Is she ever just happy about something. It must feel exhausting just wanting for things to change in society No one wants to hear constant complaints. Man or woman.

A lot of people who say that are actually saying "I see *you* as a challenge that I want to conquer. This will be fun. Game on." They aren't interested in learning from you and becoming a team with you, you are the opposing team and they want to break you down and dominate you.

We want a woman who inspires us... Unfortunately, black women (most American women) live in delusion, so men play along to get what they want from her... This is why women like AS can't keep a man, she's too challenging, to the point where it's received as competition, disrespectful. And no man will compete with a woman, we'd rather just leave which is why AS can't keep a man. She's likely always debating him, cutting him off mid-sentence, questioning even the basic of requests that he makes, and always rolling her eyes when he shares his perspective while telling him he's wrong. That's AS all day, and that's why she can't keep a man... And y'all are taking her advice smh Good luck with that...

She is so special and clear in her intensions to provide ppl knowledge, joy, and laughter while she is speaking her truth and sharing her stories and yet ppl treat her with disrespect and disregard. I wish the clowns that talk smack would really think how hard it is to be honest and transparent in your life and put in the work to reflect instead of throwing commentary her way. We are lucky that she does all of this. She deserves better; and respect her journey and how she choses to share it with us.

I think it’s *time* for women to understand, the system has told men that they are *ENTITLED* to treating women the way they internally feel the system at large is treating *THEM* like an afterthought 🤷🏽‍♀️
As long as the woman maintains her ‘place’ then the man can feel like he has some power in his life.
That’s why so many of them are all over the internets acting up and out because women no longer even want to be *bothered* so that means they don’t have anyone to take their frustration out on.
Also, in a particular community *survival* is always paramount and therefore even romantic partnerships become a zero sum game. That’s why the man used the host’s vulnerability against her because in our community it’s *always* about who can win in most men’s minds because they’re not ‘winning’ in society at large.

she hit the nail on the head towards the end, dating today feels like people love to play games in hopes of winning someone or seeing where they can go/what they can get out of someone instead of just being real. and when you're upfront and honest about what you want & how you feel, they no longer wanna play the game bc now it's "too much". so tragic 😪

I’ve learned to share my trauma experience(if ever) later in the relationship for the purpose of bonding… sharing trauma early on in my opinion gives some people a playbook to trigger us or be as they think you want them to be, rather than them just being who they are.

Same… I feel like my own men are always in competition with me… even ones that are spoken for and they feel they know everything just because they are a man. I know not all black men are like this but I never experienced competition with Caucasian and Latino men, trying to control me or rule over me,
they were always so supportive and wanted to see me win and wanted to learn from me and I learned from them. The black guys who wanted to date me it was always because of something I possessed that they wanted that they felt could make their life easy. They were opportunist and saw me as an opportunity to get what they want but I recognize it and shit it down from day one.
Always trying to rush to get me in bed, talking about babies and wanting me to be the man, their mother, provider and protector. These guys were older than me but everything was my resources and sex. They mad bad choices in women and wanted me to fix it. Or if their significant other wasn’t giving them six they wanted to try and get it from me. Unbelievable!

1:40:28 💯 Yes, our ancestral experiences & DNA play a huge part in the chasm between Black men & Black women... _AND_ it's also true that a lot of folks really just don't be friends. Close friendship before becoming partners is all I knew until my mid 30s when I started "dating from scratch." Then I started seeing all the games, ghosting, and goofiness people complain about. Love is always a gamble, but it's much harder to disrespect, disregard, and betray someone you consider a true friend.
